With the debut of the first smartphones in the WIN series, the Chinese manufacturer has rediscovered the pleasures of gaming. Beyond phones, the ecosystem will expand to new horizons with a laptop and a mouse, arriving in China on April 23. But in the near future there is also room for Honor WIN 2 and once again we will be dealing with a stellar Gaming Phone in every aspect!
Honor WIN 2 wants to be the king of Gaming Phones: bigger display, extra-large battery and a latest-generation processor
The first details of the next Gaming Phone arrive thanks to the usual Digital Chat Station: the Chinese insider reveals two important novelties and “confirms” some of the features of the current model. Honor WIN 2 will be powered by a 2 nm chipset, and we assume it will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Ge 6 Pro.
Qualcomm is expected to introduce two flagship SoCs (in September) with some improvements reserved for the Pro version – such as RAM LPDDR6 support. According to the leaker, the new top-of-the-line will feature a larger display, but not by much. Compared to the 6.82″ 1.5K of the Honor Win, the second chapter will move to 6.89″ with 2K resolution – again according to rumors.
The information doesn’t end here: the leaker claims that we’ll find some fundamental features such as an ultrasonic fingerprint reader and the silicon-carbon super battery of 10,000 mAh. There will be a completely waterproof chassis, probably IP69K-rated (like the first WIN model).
The cooling fan is not mentioned but its return can’t be ruled out, since we’re still talking about a Gaming Phone. Below you’ll find an initial draft of the technical spec (based on leaks); there is still no launch window, but a December release is not ruled out (the same month as the predecessor).
