OnePlus Nord 6 is the new king of mid-range: 165 Hz display, 9,000 mAh and Snapdragon 8s Gen 4

After enriching its premium range with as many as two models, the Chinese company is now moving to the mid-range – finally with an eye on international markets. For now, it starts in India, but given that the previous Nord 5 has arrived in Italy, it is very likely that we’ll hear more about the new chapter soon. In the meantime, to avoid being caught unprepared, here are all the details of OnePlus Nord 6 – the mid-range with Snapdragon 8 and the impressive 9,000 mAh battery!

The new OnePlus Nord 6 is the Global twin of the Chinese OnePlus Turbo 6 (Chinese), but with some differences in the camera department. The Nord-branded version does away with the secondary monochrome lens in favor of an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, while the selfie camera rises to 32 MP; in both cases these are improvements over the Chinese counterpart. The main sensor is the Sony LYT-600 da 50 MP with optical stabilization.

The mid-range design draws inspiration from the higher-end model OnePlus 15, with a square camera module, straight edges and a large flat panel. The display is a 6.78-inch AMOLED unit with ultra-slim bezels, 1.5K resolution and refresh rate at 165 Hz (another feature borrowed from the flagship).

Available colors are three – mint, black and silver – with the latter featuring a back texture that nods to gaming. However, note that the Global official site lists only the green and black variants, while the Quick Silver is listed on the Indian site.

The rest of the OnePlus Nord 6 specifications aim high: performance is entrusted to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a mid-to-high-end chipset with noteworthy features (also suitable for gaming). On the memory side we have up to 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM while storage is single (UFS 4.1 256 GB).

The device is the first Global OnePlus model equipped with an extra-large battery, a silicon-carbon unit of 9,000 mAh. Along with 80W fast charging there is also 27W reverse charging: this way the phone becomes a power bank when needed.

The new OnePlus Nord 6 has debuted in India in two versions: 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB, respectively at around €360 and €387 at current exchange rates. As of this writing, there is not yet a date for Italy’s introduction, so we are awaiting details.
