The Lei Jun house hints at the price of the new smartphones in the POCO X8 Pro line: all thanks to the Belgian/Dutch division, which accidentally published the event page for the brand’s upcoming models.
Hence, a flood of official confirmations that not only concern the final price for Europe (at least for some markets) but also the design of both phones, memory configurations and color options.
Xiaomi spoiled the prices of POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max: here is how much the new models in the series will cost
The spoiler-prone Xiaomi division limited itself to publishing a page with a few images, but that was enough to reveal basically everything. It starts with the POCO X8 Pro, the new base model: this year there won’t be a vanilla version, but both smartphones will offer Pro-level performance.
The device comes in three colors – white, black and blue – and as many configurations, up to a maximum of 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Here are the prices:
- 8/256 GB: €399.90
- 8/512 GB: €449.90
- 12/512 GB: €479.90
The bigger brother POCO X8 Pro Max arrives with a very similar design: the image used to indicate the prices is the same for both phones, but the page also includes a render showing the two models side by side – you can find it at the bottom of the article.
Also the higher-end version arrives in black, white and azure tones; however it is likely there will be an orange variant. The reason is simple: the two POCOs are Global rebrands of their Chinese cousins Redmi Turbo 5 and 5 Max, and the latter introduces the new Sunshine Orange. The image above shows the two POCOs side by side and also comes from the event page published on Xiaomi’s site. The specifications of both should be identical to Redmi devices, with the exception of the battery: as usual in Europe it should have a de-tuned capacity even if the dimensions would still be adequate.
