It seems September isn’t dedicated solely to the debut of the Xiaomi 18 Pro series, which has been the star of the first teasers in recent hours.
The Chinese brand has opened pre-orders for two new devices designed to complete its smart ecosystem: the smartwatch Xiaomi Watch S5 in the 41 mm variant and the earbuds Redmi Buds 8S. Both products were announced on the Chinese market, but we are hopeful for a future launch also in our region.
Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm and Redmi Buds 8S: specifications and release dates
The 41 mm variant of the Xiaomi Watch S5 focuses on a compact and refined design: it weighs about 36 grams, is only 0.99 cm thick, and uses a glossy white ceramic bezel paired with a diamond-shaped crown with 24 facets.
The software is based on HyperOS 4, while the claimed battery life reaches up to 14 days on a single charge.
On the health and fitness front, the smartwatch includes menstrual cycle tracking, science-based exercise recommendations, caloric intake management, and alerts about UV ray intensity.
The 41 mm Xiaomi Watch S5 launch is planned to occur in parallel with the Xiaomi 18 Pro series, though no official date has yet been confirmed. We remind that the 46 mm Xiaomi Watch S5 has already arrived in Italy, so there are good chances for the new version as well.
Redmi Buds 8S: 11 mm driver and HyperConnect, arriving September 22
The Redmi Buds 8S earbuds adopt a semi in-ear design aimed at ergonomics, with an 11 mm high-performance dynamic driver. On board is also the HyperConnect technology, designed to improve connection stability. The launch of Redmi Buds 8S is set for September 22, clearly only for China.
In Italy we have had both Redmi Buds 8 and Buds 8 Active, so fingers crossed for the new model as well!
