Maintaining direct contact with one’s children during busy school and sports days is a need increasingly felt by modern families. TCL Kids Watch K5 allows you to make and receive voice and video calls using the cellular network, as well as enabling the quick exchange of voice messages, text chats and photographs.
All these interactions take place in a closed and secure environment, managed entirely by adults via the free TCL CONNECT app, compatible with Android and iOS operating systems.
Parents have full ability to approve contacts in the address book and to enable or disable the use of multimedia features. There is also a physically accessible SOS button which, when pressed, sends an immediate alert to family members in case of need.
To ensure accurate tracking both outdoors and indoors, the watch uses a combination of different technologies, including L1 GPS receivers, A-GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi networks, cellular networks and integrated motion sensors.
This synergy yields reliable <strong real-time location on the parents’ smartphone map.
Through the dedicated app, it is possible to set up virtual safe zones, such as the perimeter of the school building or the sports field area, receiving automatic notifications whenever the boundary is crossed.
In case of emergency activation, the system automatically takes a photo to provide rapid visual indications of where the minor is located.

The watch is powered by a 600 mAh battery that delivers about 2.2 days of continuous use and up to 4.8 days in standby mode.
The device’s ruggedness is certified by the IP68 standard, which provides protection against dust ingress and water immersion, making the device suitable for outdoor use and resistant to damage from simple hand washing.
The cases and bands can be removed and replaced very easily. The Asian company offers additional TPU kits in various colors, including Light Yellow, Light Green and Dark Purple. Inside these packages there is a QR code to download and unlock digital watch faces that are color-coordinated to the hardware.
Also available for separate purchase are nylon fabric watch straps, neck lanyards in the tones Blue and Pink, and practical screen protectors to preserve the screen’s integrity.
From a personal organization perspective, the watch helps structure the child’s day with alarms and reminders that can be remotely set, while the school-focused feature allows you to disable any possible distractions such as games and notifications during class time, keeping only the emergency communications circuit active.
