Galaxy Tab S12+ and Ultra surface a date: October launch for the new tablets

Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra are approaching their debut, and to complete the picture a precise date has now emerged, according to the leaker Evan Blass: both tablets would debut on October 7, although at the moment there is still no official confirmation.

One detail that makes this launch peculiar relates to its placement in Samsung’s calendar: according to the same leaker, the two tablets would be the brand’s only two flagship devices to reach the market in the latter part of the year.

In terms of memory, the Galaxy Tab S12+ would start from 12 GB of RAM paired with up to 512 GB of storage, with a variant featuring cellular connectivity available specifically at the 256 GB option. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra would instead rise to 16 GB of RAM, with storage options up to 1 TB.

On the battery front, the previously revealed values remain confirmed, with 11,600 mAh for the Ultra variant and 10,600 mAh for the Tab S12+.

Both tablets would arrive on the market with Android 17 and One UI 9.0 preinstalled, in addition to the S Pen included as standard in the box, without the need to buy it separately. Completing the package would also be IP68 certification against dust and water on both models.

The most significant detail for those considering a long-term purchase concerns software support: Samsung would guarantee seven generations of Android OS updates on both tablets, a policy now in line with what is already applied to the Galaxy S flagship models.

Starting price in the United States

For the United States market, the Galaxy Tab S12+ would start at $1,199, while the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra at $1,399. These figures refer exclusively to the US price list: at the moment no price has been reported for the Italian or European market.

The picture around the new generation of Samsung tablets is thus taking shape on several fronts.
