Insta360 expands its range of action cameras and gimbals with Luna Pro, the new device designed specifically for vlogging and content creation, developed in collaboration with Leica. The heart of the product is a 1″ sensor paired with a Leica Summicron lens, a combination aimed at guaranteeing high detail even in low-light conditions.

To handle image processing, there is an architecture with a dual AI chip, a professional image processor, and a 4 nm chip. On the video side, Luna Pro records in Dolby Vision up to 8K, with vertical clips in 4K at 30fps obtained via upscaling from 6K.
For slow motion, 4K at 120 fps and Full HD at 240 fps are available, while the zoom reaches up to 2x without quality loss and 4x in high resolution. Those working in post-production can rely on the 10-bit I-Log format.
The 3-axis stabilization is complemented by the Deep Track AI-based system and fast autofocus, designed to follow the subject during moving shoots. The device also includes a 2″ removable OLED touchscreen, with HD transmission up to 20 meters, and a head tracker dedicated to first-person tracking.
Battery, storage and software features
The stated battery life is 4 hours and 47 minutes, paired with 47 GB of built-in memory. On the software side, Luna Pro includes Leica Natural, Vivid and Chrome color profiles, cinematic filters and AI-powered editing tools, in addition to integrated timecode support for multi-camera synchronization with Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Among the quick controls, Insta360 has introduced the gestures ‘Swipe to start’ and ‘Rotate and record’ to start recording without going through the menus.
Price and availability
Insta360 Luna Pro is available immediately in Midnight Black and Stellar White finishes, with the standard pack priced at €529. The device is available on the official Insta360 store, on Amazon and from authorized retailers.
