Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max spotted on Geekbench with the new XRING O3 chip

Following the rumors from the past few days, another piece emerges in the tablet lineup Xiaomi is preparing. Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max would have appeared on Geekbench with the proprietary XRING O3 chip on board, confirming that the flagship model of the family would rely on an internally developed processor rather than Qualcomm solutions (unlike Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro standard).

Based on what has emerged, the XRING O3 proprietary chipset would feature a 10-core configuration split into three clusters: two C1-Ultra cores at 4.36 GHz, four C1-Premium cores at 3.69 GHz, and four C1-Pro cores at 3.15 GHz. On the graphics side, there would be a Mali G2 Ultra NX MC16 GPU with 16 cores. The device would feature 16 GB of RAM and the Android 17 operating system, probably with HyperOS 4.

The device would have scored over 3,400 points in the single-core test and over 13,200 points in the multi-core test. This is a result lower than the 15,000 multi-core points Xiaomi itself had stated in a previous testing phase, with it currently unclear whether the difference depends on the preliminary nature of the software installed on the tested unit or on other factors.

Without going into too much detail, we are looking at performance in line with those of the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The Qualcomm SoC on Geekbench has totalled around 3,600/3,900 in single-core and between 10,600 and 12,500 in multi-core.

Pad 9 Pro Max at the top of the range: enormous display and ultra-fast charging

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max would position itself at the top of the new Pad 9 lineup, while the two smaller siblings would be equipped with Qualcomm chips rather than the new proprietary Xiaomi SoC.

The tablet would feature a 13.3″ display and fast charging of 120W, while the launch of the entire series is expected at the start of September.
