Redmi Note 17 Pro Max: the European label confirms the massive battery

The European launch of the Redmi Note 17 series seems to be turning into no secret at all: clues about the debut are not limited to leaks anymore, but also concern certifications.

The entire series has received the EU label, which reveals battery details; meanwhile, the flagship Pro Max has appeared in new render images that “confirm” the color options available at launch.

The flagship model of the next generation Note will be available in four tones: the Black, Cloud Blush and Green variants have been shown in various renders, but the Purple color option is missing.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max mirrors the design of the rest of the family, with a DECO camera module (a square with rounded corners) and a display with a central punch-hole for the selfie camera.

According to what has emerged so far, the smartphone would feature a 6.83″ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits brightness. Driving it would be the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC, powered by a battery above 9,000 mAh.

In recent days there have appeared both the full specifications of the entire series (in Europe) and the supposed prices.

While waiting to know more officially, the EPREL certification gives us some additional confirmation. This is the energy label mandated by Europe (in force since) that requires manufacturers to declare all details related to battery, durability, energy efficiency, resistance and repairability of smartphones and tablets.

Redmi Note 17 base packs a 7,700 mAh unit and offers up to 68 hours and 31 minutes of autonomy; the higher-end Pro is equipped with a 8,340 mAh solution with 72 hours of autonomy, while the Pro Max version rises to 79 hours and 16 minutes, with a super battery of 9,210 mAh.

All three phones promise to retain 80% of capacity after 1000 charge cycles. The small one in the family has an IP65 body, but the two Pro models are fully waterproof (IP68). Finally, the devices have a repairability and drop resistance rating of Level C.
