The brand Tecno has announced its new concept phone, but this time it’s not a folding device; it could be the industry’s next frontier.
Several Chinese brands are working to achieve displays with ever-thinner bezels, and the peak will be reached when the bezels are completely removed.
Want to take a look at how future full-screen smartphones could look? Here’s Tecno’s answer, a device that promises to be a compact concentration of technology and pleasing to look at.
Tecno presents Next-Gen Borderless Concept Phone, a smartphone equipped with a bezel-less display

With Next-Gen Borderless Concept Phone, the brand offers an interesting overview of the possible future of smartphones. The device – note that this is a concept – features a large display with a punch-hole for the selfie camera and 0 mm bezel thickness.
According to the company, the complete removal of the borders was made possible thanks to a complete structural redesign, affecting both the device and the display (and the various components that make it up).

At the moment, technical details have not been disclosed, but there is a live event. The working prototype will be presented next month at the IFA 2026 – the Berlin technology fair that will be held from 4 to 8 September.
A long series of concepts and prototypes
Tecno is often uses its concept phones as a tech showcase: they’re not necessarily products intended for sale, but they serve to demonstrate technologies that could reach consumer devices in the coming years.

Typically these prototypes are shown at MWC (the famous Barcelona fair), and in some cases even as fully functional devices.
Among the concepts unveiled by Tecno there was a rollable model, two tri-foldables (Phantom Ultimate 2 and G Fold) and even a modular phone. In all cases the devices were limited to prototypes, but there is an exception.
Tecno Spark Slim, the brand’s first ultra-thin smartphone, started as a concept but then became a real commercial smartphone.
