The good Roland Quandt, one of the most reliable insiders in the field, strikes again and this time it’s not about images. The leaker has revealed the leaked specs of the new Samsung foldables, about a week before the official debut: here is what we can expect from the pair of foldables, and this time it’s not a recap of rumors but (nearly) complete specifications directly from one of the most respected sources in the tech scene!

Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide)
The focal point of the series is clearly the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, not so much for the hardware, but for the new design. The foldable has been redesigned and now features a wide format, i.e., a look similar to that of a passport or a small tablet (but with the right proportions).
They gain the ease of use and the simplicity of multitasking thanks to a large internal Dynamic AMOLED display 7.6″ with a resolution of 2,448 x 1,848 pixels and to an external panel of 5.5″ with a resolution of 1,972 x 1,248 pixels.
Both offer a 120 Hz refresh rate; moreover, Samsung’s new foldable displays have a central crease that is far less visible, thanks to the Flex Titanium technology.
The device is powered by a 4,800 mAh battery with 45W charging and, according to the EU EPREL database, provides a maximum endurance of 49 hours and 10 minutes. The wireless charging support is listed.
Performance aims high, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 For Galaxy, backed by 12 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of storage.
The insider also reveals the camera system, based on a dual camera: the main sensor of 50 MP offers a maximum aperture of f/1.8 and is accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle lens, also of 50 MP (f/1.9). Both selfie cameras are 10 MP.
