Not just compact smartphones: Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will be the giant of the mid-range

With the debut of the Redmi Note 15 series, now all the attention from leakers and Mi Fans is focused on the future of the lineup. According to the latest news we should see a jump in numbering, similar to what happened in the transition between Xiaomi 15 and 17. Furthermore, just as the main series introduced the Pro Max nomenclature (inspired by Cupertino), the mid-range series should also see the addition of a new feature called Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will be big in everything: camera, battery and even the display (according to leaks)

No Redmi Note 16, therefore, but a generation leap for the series that is most iconic in Lei Jun’s house. In recent days some details have already emerged about the flagship model: some details have already emerged about the flagship model: Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will not be a change only for the name but should be Max in every aspect, from a top 200 MP camera to a colossal 10,000 mAh battery.

The improvements would not end here, although the next point will surely be controversial: according to insider Digital Chat Station, the phone would boast a large 7″ diagonal display. The current Redmi Note 15 Pro+ has pushed up to 6.83″, the maximum reached by the series so far.

The company’s devices have reached up to 6.9″ with Redmi K90 Pro Max, POCO F8 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. If we recall the old relics, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 was the last giant of the old guard. Over the years, many have called for the return of the Max series and indeed the Chinese company has listened to Mi Fans’ prayers, finding a balance between compact models and others with XXL displays.

The Redmi Note 17 series will continue to offer a wide range of smartphones for all needs and the Pro Max variant should be the giant of the family. For now these are just rumors, so it’s wise to take everything with caution. Regarding the release of the new mid-range devices, you probably will have to wait until the month of August (at least for the debut in China).
