Last updated: March 31 – The Chinese company refreshes its flagship lineup with the addition of not one but two Camera Phones: vivo X300s is a revisitation of the base model, while the stage is all for vivo X300 Ultra. The new smartphone for mobile photography enthusiasts promises top-end performance in every aspect, thanks to a truly all-round package!
vivo X300 Ultra e X300s: everything there is to know about the brand’s new Camera Phones, between technical specs, price and release

At the center of the experience is the camera system: vivo X300 Ultra is conceived as a Camera Phone from the design (with the usual circular module reminiscent of traditional camera lenses) while the brand’s new setup oscillates between already-tested elements and some novelties. The system continues to offer 14 mm, 35 mm and 85 mm focal lengths, but with a new main sensor.
This time on stage there is the Sony LYTIA 901 from 1/1,12″ with f/1.85 aperture, 200 MP and a focal length of 35 mm. The lens is equipped with a new 1G+6P coating technology that reduces reflectivity by 20%, according to the Chinese manufacturer. Additionally there is a CIPA-certified optical stabilization of 6.5.

The main camera is accompanied by a periscope telephoto of 200 MP, sized 1/1,4″ and 85 mm: although the features are similar to those of the predecessor, the device mounts Samsung’s latest ISOCELL HP0, with autofocus twice as fast and a CIPA-rated optical stabilization of 7.0. The aperture changes to f/2.67 – compared to the previous X200 Ultra’s f/2.27.
Finally the ultra-wide 14 mm lens of 50 MP (with a sensor of 1/1,28″) seems to be the same as the predecessor. Remember that vivo X300 Ultra debuts together with a renewed photography kit – sold separately – that includes a 400 mm telephoto (17.4x) and a smaller 200 mm (8.7x).

The new Camera Phone does away with both the programmable button of X300 Pro and the shutter button of X200 Ultra, opting for a clean profile – interrupted only by the volume rocker and the power button. Among the novelties is the color management system: this is a technology that combines software and hardware to offer a natural color rendering, thanks to the new True Color 5 MP lens with 12 spectral channels.
As for the rest of the specs, the flagship offers a 6.82″ LTPO AMOLED display with 144 Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, 6,600 mAh battery and 100W wired charging, along with 40W wireless charging.

In the case of vivo X300s we are dealing with an updated version of the standard: the device uses MediaTek Dimensity 9500 and is powered by a battery of 7,100 mAh with dual charging (90W wired and 40W wireless). In this case there would be a triple sensor setup of 200 + 50 + 50 MP, with a main Samsung HPB sensor, an ultra-wide and a periscope telephoto. As with the bigger model there is a separate photography kit, but with only the 200 mm teleconverter.
Price in China
Both flagships start from 12/256 GB of memory, up to a maximum configuration of 16 GB/1 TB. The price of vivo X300s sits at 4,999 yuan (about 630€ at the current exchange rate) while the bigger X300 Ultra starts from 6,999 yuan (about 882€ at the current rate).
Clearly the real star is the Ultra model and this year we expect a surprise: for now the launch has happened only in China, but the Camera Phone will arrive in Italy in April (and you can already sign up to receive the photography kit for free)!
