On the occasion of World Sleep Day, an annual observance dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of rest for psycho-physical health, The Pokémon Company International and Garmin have unveiled a new collaboration.
The mobile application dedicated to monitoring night-time sleep Pokémon Sleep, which has managed to turn a physiological necessity into an interactive activity, officially integrates with the ecosystem of the famous sport watches.
The agreement allows enthusiasts to combine the rigor of biometric tracking with the lightheartedness of catching the famous pocket monsters, making the analysis of one’s night cycles a decidedly more engaging experience.
Pokémon Sleep lands on Garmin smartwatches

The integration has been developed to reach a very broad user base. The application is indeed compatible with almost all Garmin watches equipped with an optical sensor for heart rate detection.
For purely hardware-related reasons of older devices, the company had to specify that some earlier generations will not support the update.
Specifically, the exclusion concerns models such as the D2 Bravo, the fenix 3 HR and the variant fenix Chronos, as well as some specific members of the Forerunner line, including versions 225, 235 and 735XT.
The same limitation also affects owners of vivoactive HR, vivosmart HR and vivosmart HR Plus. All other modern devices equipped with the optical sensor, however, are ready to welcome the new tracking features.
Promotions for coaches and multimedia content
To inaugurate this collaboration, the two companies have activated a special promotion dedicated to the most consistent users. Those who connect their accounts and measure sleep data via their Garmin device by November 1, 2026 will receive an exclusive in-game gift.
By accessing the dedicated gift section in the main menu of the application, it will be possible to redeem three free Poké Cookies, essential tools for befriending the creatures discovered upon waking.
The initiative has also been enriched by the release of unreleased content on the franchise’s official YouTube channel. The two celebratory shorts, titled “Pokémon Sleep x Garmin – The Adventure of Your Dreams, Night and Day” and “Good Morning with Pokémon Sleep“, illustrate the full potential of the partnership, blending the game’s aesthetics with the reliability of smartwatches.
The new dynamic watch faces
The experience does not end with simply collecting sleep data, but also embraces the aesthetic customization of your watch.
On Garmin’s Connect IQ Store platform, two themed watch faces debuted, downloadable at no cost for devices in the fenix, Forerunner, Venu and vivoactive series.
The first, titled “Pokémon Sleep: Snorlax and its friends“, showcases several creatures on screen in relaxed poses. The second, titled “Pokémon Sleep: I Choose You“, offers a more personal approach allowing the user to select their adventure companion drawing from a well-stocked catalog of 48 different species.
The most innovative aspect of these interfaces lies in their reactive nature. The illustrations on the display are not merely static images, but respond in real time to the user’s vital parameters, changing the poses of the creatures based on the energy level measured by Garmin’s Body Battery metric.
Additionally, to foster good rest, the watch face will automatically adopt a nighttime mode one and a half hours before the scheduled bedtime on the Garmin Connect app.
In the following morning, the watch will greet the user by showing a casual sleep style among the three available in the application, which are downloadable for free on the App Store and Google Play.
