Honor X80 GT set to debut with over 13,000 mAh: it will be a monster of endurance

The race to infinite battery life continues and once again Honor is setting the pace. The Chinese manufacturer seems ready to bring back into the spotlight the X family with what is shaping up to be the ultimate Battery Phone, Honor X80 GT, equipped with a colossal unit of 13,080 mAh, surpassing even the capacity of many common power banks.

After the WIN and Power series, the Chinese manufacturer would have in store a grand return for the X family. The current Honor X70 was launched in China last July with Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, a 6.79-inch Flat display, and a silicon-carbon battery of 8,300 mAh.

The future Honor X80 GT should soar to as much as 13,080 mAh, positioning itself as the ‘classic’ (non-rugged) smartphone with the largest battery. It was revealed by a Chinese insider, but unfortunately he does not spill on other specifications.

More capacious than a power bank, the next smartphone in the X lineup should even surpass the latest flagship Honor WIN and the Battery Phone Power 2, respectively at 10,000 and 10,080 mAh. It remains to be seen if the trend of extra-large batteries will manage to take hold in our latitudes.

At the moment, various manufacturers are already offering devices above 7,000 mAh but so far no one has dared to bring a 10,000 mAh beast to Europe.
