After a period of apparent stagnation following the launch of the Vibe 5G in September 2025, HMD, the company that revived the iconic Nokia devices, seems poised to enrich its economy-range offer dedicated to the budget segment of the market.
The latest rumors circulating online spotlight a new device, identified by the name HMD Crest 2 Pro. It is notable that the company appears to skip the base version entirely, directly presenting this higher-end variant to the public.
HMD Crest 2 Pro: all leaked specs

According to details shared on the X platform by the well-known informant @smashx_60, the new smartphone will maintain continuity with past models, offering a rear camera module with a distinctive square shape.
The leaked render image shows the device in a vibrant and new Deep Pink colorway. The front of the smartphone will be dominated by a large 6.78-inch Super AMOLED display with a FullHD+ resolution.
Looking at the 6.67-inch panels used on the previous Crest and Crest Max editions, there is an increase in size. The smoothness of the visuals also promises a notable leap, from the past 90 Hz to the current 120 Hz.
The bezels should maintain similar thickness to past generations, preserving a slightly more pronounced bottom edge than the other sides.
A battery life designed for long distances
Under the plastic or glass chassis, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor. This is a chip designed to handle everyday tasks with ease, such as internet browsing, banking transactions, YouTube video playback, and continuous messaging.
The real standout feature of this device, however, is the battery. HMD has chosen to integrate a cell of a full 6,000 mAh, the most capacious ever put in an HMD smartphone, marking an increase of 1,000 mAh over its direct predecessors.
For charging, 33 W via USB-C is supported. While not the fastest charging currently available for this price range, it certainly ensures energy restoration times more than adequate for modern needs.
The rear block will host a triple-lens system, led by a 64 MP main camera. Alongside this, there will be an 8 MP ultra-wide camera and an additional 2 MP sensor. For selfies and video calls, users will have a powerful 50 MP front camera.
Market positioning
At the moment there is no official word from the company regarding the exact launch date or final price lists. Nonetheless, the freshly leaked specs suggest Crest 2 Pro will be launched in India below 20,000 rupees, which equates to about €225 at the current exchange rate.
For adequate context on pricing, it is useful to remember that the HMD Crest and Crest Max models originally started at 14,999 rupees (about €168) and 16,499 rupees (about €185).
With a decidedly generous display, a battery life that looks set to be excellent, and well-calibrated performance for daily use, the manufacturer has the cards in hand to attract consumers looking for a reliable device. It remains to be seen whether they will ever bring the smartphone here as well.
