Today is the first day of the Shanghai tech fair AWE 2026, with over 1,000 brands present – such as Huawei, Sony, Samsung, TCL and many more. This is the perfect stage to present the latest innovations and give a glimpse of what the future holds, just as with our Catalan MWC.
At the fair, Dreame Aurora, the company’s first luxury smartphone, is also present. Certainly a bold shift: from robotic vacuum cleaners to appliances, phones, electric cars, and now also devices with sky-high prices.
Dreame Aurora: hand-engraved details and precious materials for the new king of luxury
This 2026 is turning out to be rich in innovations for the manufacturer: as noted at the outset, the name Dreame is widely associated with cleaning-tech devices. However the brand first expanded into accessories and home appliances, then stunned everyone by showing a supercar (at CES in Las Vegas).
Shortly after, it was the turn of smartphones with phones branded by Dreame, with the flagship model being nothing more than a rebrand of the Nubia Z80 Ultra. Shortly after, the first teaser dedicated to Dreame Aurora, a luxury smartphone characterized by a flashy look and details in gold and other precious materials.
On the first day of AWE 2026, the company showcased a range of solutions with prices that nod to Vertu – a brand known for its exclusive phones priced at tens of thousands of euros.
The Aurora model is available in various styles: all feature a large circular camera module and a rather flashy back cover, embellished with gold, stones and more. The device also includes an additional photography kit with a 1″ sensor and Wi-Fi connectivity for remote use.
Prices range from $10,000 to $15,000, depending on materials and hand-finished elements. All in all, these figures are fairly accessible, given that Vertu and Caviar typically exceed €20,000.
