The launch of the iPad of twelfth generation is getting closer, thanks to an accessory manufacturer. Inside ESR Tech’s official store, a suspicious page appeared that would have revealed both the existence of the device and its design: here’s what we know about the next addition to Apple’s tablet lineup.
iPad 2026 with A18 spotted on an accessory site: what we know about the next tablet

In terms of design, the iPad 2026 does not seem to change the playing field compared to the current generation. The front is occupied by a large 11-inch diagonal screen, with bezels not exactly reduced; on the back there is room for a single camera. The real novelties — clearly — would be inside the chassis: the tablet is expected to feature the Apple A18 chipset, already seen on the iPhone 16, 16 Plus and 16e (available in Pro version on the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max and on the recent MacBook Neo).
All devices powered by this chipset come with native support for Apple Intelligence, so it is very likely that the same fate will befall the new tablet. Consequently the iPad 2026 should be the first base-model in the lineup to offer 8 GB of RAM, the minimum requirement to be able to use Cupertino’s personal AI system.
