POCO smartphones are characterized by an excellent quality/price ratio, but with some compromises. However the Xiaomi partner brand is slowly shifting toward more capable cameras, as already happened with the POCO F8 Ultra and its periscope telephoto lens.
The real turning point could come with POCO F9 Ultra: rumors from China regarding the Redmi K100 Pro Max twin are promising.
POCO F9 Ultra: More and More of a Camera Phone, Thanks to Redmi K100 Pro Max — Here’s How the Camera Will Improve

According to a well-known Chinese insider, the next Redmi K100 series will adopt a 200 MP camera, but it’s not clear whether it will be the main sensor or the telephoto periscope lens. In either case, it would be a significant step forward for the range, thanks to the presence of a module capable of offering higher resolution.
Again, two models are expected, Redmi K100 and K100 Pro Max; as has happened so far, it is very likely that both phones will arrive in the West as POCO F9 Pro and F9 Ultra.
Consequently our own models would also feature the same characteristics as their Chinese counterparts, including the new 200 MP camera. In any case, we will have to wait: the most curious will be able to learn more at the launch in China of the Redmi K100 cousins, probably in October of this year.
The latest models in the POCO series are F8 Pro and F8 Ultra, equipped with Bose audio and a range of flagship features. The only technical difference between the international pair and the Chinese versions (Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max) concerns smaller batteries.
