In conjunction with the unveiling of MediaTek’s new chipsets, Xiaomi has confirmed it. Redmi Turbo 5 Max will be the first smartphone with the Dimensity 9500s: Xiaomi’s Lei Jun-led company has revealed the Antutu results, along with a few other details ahead of the debut.
Redmi Turbo 5 Max confirmed with Dimensity 9500s: top-tier performance for the next mid-range in the series
The release date of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max has not yet been revealed, but we are almost there. It will almost certainly launch by the end of January, so the debut is just around the corner.
The device will be the first with Dimensity 9500s: this is MediaTek’s new SoC, built on a 3 nm process with All Big Core architecture and a maximum frequency of 3.73 GHz (Cortex-X925). Present on board is the Immortalis-G925 GPU with ray tracing support.
The device has scored 3,612,095 points on Antutu, a respectable result for a phone that should belong to the mid-to-high range—and that, instead, eyes the big players. To understand better, just take a look at the latest Antutu rankings: the new Redmi would sit just below the Chinese top 10, while easily entering the global top 10.
Xiaomi has confirmed that the phone will have a price around 2,500 yuan, about €308 at the current rate. The value-for-money is shaping up to be one of the most interesting of 2026; it’s a pity only that this figure refers to the Chinese market.
Could be our POCO X8 Pro Max
Things could go differently on the international level, though for now we are in the realm of speculation. POCO X8 Pro Max has been certified in recent weeks with the commercial name (its identity is therefore confirmed). Our global device should be a rebrand of the Chinese Redmi Turbo 5 Max.
