The 2026 for Xiaomi is rich in smartphones, including those branded Redmi and POCO, but the updates also concern the rest of the brand’s ecosystem. The latest rumors reveal a few more details about the upcoming devices, on the tablet and wearables side.
What are Xiaomi’s 2026 updates: tablets and wearables
The most awaited tablets of all are, clearly, the new Xiaomi Pad 8 and 8 Pro: the Chinese version was launched in September while the global debut is expected for March – there are also certifications. Among the new additions, there will not be missing Redmi K Pad 2, the brand’s next flagship tablet.
Probably there will still be a high-end Dimensity chipset and an 8.8″ display; furthermore – just as happened with K Pad and Xiaomi Pad Mini – it is likely that it will arrive globally as Xiaomi Pad Mini 2. Anyway the first chapter has not been brought to Italy, so it is likely the same for the successor.
The first smartwatch of 2026 should be the M2517W1-branded device: it would be a sporty and lightweight model, with a long-lasting battery – a full 815 mAh. The watch would also have eSIM support, according to the latest rumors.
It isn’t clear whether it will be a Xiaomi or Redmi model; however it will stand alongside the recent Xiaomi Watch 5 and Redmi Watch 6 (both still unreleased in Italy).
Finally there will be a new fitness tracker: the current Band 10 is not expected to receive a Pro version but will jump directly to Xiaomi Smart Band 11. We will probably have to wait until June, while rumours so far only mention materials, with a white ceramic version and one with a metallic finish.
The 2026 smartphone roadmap
As highlighted at the outset, throughout 2026 we can expect a string of phones: we started on January 15 with the Redmi Note 15 series in Italy but the coming months will be even more interesting.
Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra are expected to surface in early March, at the MWC 2026 in Barcelona. In China Redmi Turbo 5 Max is awaited, coming to us – as rumored – as POCO X8 Pro Max. New additions to the low-budget range are also expected, with Redmi A7 Pro and POCO C81.
Sticking to the China/West relationship, the twin smartphones Redmi K90 Ultra and Xiaomi 17T Pro. The upcoming Xiaomi 17S Pro and Xiaomi 17 Maxwill instead be for the Chinese market only.
