As the curtain finally falls on Eleven’s adventures and the brave kids of Hawkins, marking the end of an era for television pop culture, the void left by the conclusion of Stranger Things begins to be felt among millions of fans worldwide.
To celebrate the grand finale of this iconic saga, which has dominated the streaming charts for almost a decade, Samsung Electronics and Netflix have renewed their strategic partnership, offering fans a unique way to bring the show’s atmospheres with them wherever they go.
Starting today, 12 January, in fact, the South Korean giant has made available a range of exclusive content dedicated to the fifth season, turning Galaxy smartphones into true portals to the Upside Down.
Samsung collaborates with Netflix for a digital dive into the atmospheres of Hawkins

The new promotional initiative, active in as many as 186 countries, allows Galaxy device owners to customize their own smartphones with an aesthetic that faithfully echoes the show’s dark and nostalgic tone.
Through the Galaxy Store, users can access free of charge a collection based on the fifth and final season of the franchise. The package includes a complete theme and five high-resolution wallpapers that depict the characters most loved by fans and the most memorable settings, spanning from the town of Hawkins to the eerie Upside Down landscapes.
Samsung emphasized that these contents were designed to reflect the show’s unique atmosphere, allowing fans to integrate elements of the narrative into their daily lives through the displays on their devices.
However, there is a small, necessary step to unlock these benefits: to claim the theme and wallpapers at no additional cost, users will need to download or launch the Netflix app on their device.
It is important to note that this is a time-limited offer; the collection will remain available on Galaxy Store only until February 22, after which these digital contents will vanish, metaphorically, into the darkness of the Upside Down.
The numbers behind a cultural phenomenon and the technical requirements
As stated in the official press release, since its debut in 2016 Stranger Things has been one of Netflix’s main drivers of global growth.
With the release of the first part of the fifth season on 27 November 2025, the series broke new records, ranking first in 91 countries and accumulating almost 60 million views in just the first five days. A historic achievement that saw, for the first time, all five seasons present simultaneously in the platform’s global Top 10 for five consecutive weeks.
For those wishing to install these celebratory contents, it’s necessary to pay attention to compatibility. Samsung has specified that the new Stranger Things full theme is available for Galaxy devices running Android 15 or later, though it may not be supported on some specific models.
Regarding the wallpapers, compatibility is much broader, extending to all Galaxy smartphones with the operating system Android 8 or higher.
A long-standing partnership between technology and services
This isn’t the first time Samsung has looked kindly at Netflix viewers. The two companies boast a long-standing partnership aimed at offering exclusive content to Galaxy users.
In the past, the collaboration had already produced a short film inspired by Stranger Things to celebrate the release of the fourth season, a marketing move that also showcased the Nightography capabilities of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
More recently, last year, Samsung released special themes based on the animated film KPop Demon Hunters.
With this latest initiative, Samsung confirms its intent to tap into mass phenomena, offering its users not only cutting-edge hardware, but also a software experience capable of emotionally connecting with their passions.
