The Chinese brand has confirmed the imminent debut of its new gaming flagship. Between a transparent design “Cyber Purple” and a monstrous battery, the Realme Neo8 promises to satisfy even the most hardcore gamers.
Realme Neo8, January launch and first specs

The brand has officially decided to go ahead, confirming that its upcoming smartphone, the Realme Neo8, will debut on the Chinese market by the end of this month.
Although the company has not yet pinned down a precise date on the calendar, the marketing machine is already in motion, releasing a series of teasers that reveal not only the device’s aggressive aesthetics, but also a very respectable set of specifications.
The heart of the new Realme Neo 8 will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, the latest from Qualcomm intended to drive the near-flagship tier of 2026.
Reflecting the capabilities of this hardware platform, the company has shared a promotional poster showing an impressive benchmark score: the device reportedly reached the 3.85 million points on AnTuTu.
Cyberpunk aesthetics and the "Awakening Halo" system
It’s not just brute force that characterizes Realme’s new gaming smartphone. The design plays a fundamental role in the Neo8’s identity, which presents itself to the public with a futuristic look dubbed Cyber Purple.
The leaked images show a transparent glass rear shell that hints at the internal components. All of this is framed by a sturdy metal frame.
The distinctive design element is located next to the rear camera module, housing a triple-camera configuration. This is the "Awakening Halo" system, a strip of RGB lights designed to pulse and change colour.
This detail is not merely aesthetic but functional, likely acting as an evolved notification LED and syncing with in-game actions to heighten visual engagement during the most intense sessions.
Endless autonomy and a competition-grade display
The rumors surrounding the device suggest that Realme has worked hard to solve one of the historical issues of gaming smartphones: battery life. According to the most credible rumors, the Neo8 could integrate a huge 8,000 mAh unit, a capacity that would guarantee hours of uninterrupted gaming without the anxiety of charging.
To complete the technical picture there would be a Samsung-supplied display, featuring a refresh rate that reaches 165 Hz, ideal for ensuring maximum smoothness in moving images.
Additionally, whispers suggest the existence of an even more exclusive variant, the "Neo8 Infinite Edition", which could push the specs further or offer exclusive equipment.
