Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design: Luxury, Supercar and Smartphone Meet | Official

Together with the Magic 8 Pro Air (the brand’s first ultra-slim) the Asian company announced Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design. The luxury variant has returned with the new flagship generation, with styling that nods to iconic sports cars: here are all the details on technical specifications, price and availability – but for now it has not yet crossed Chinese borders.

The design of the Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design is inspired by the dynamic and sporty style of supercars; however this time the Chinese brand has opted for softer lines compared to the usual sharp shapes (just look at Magic 7 RSR). The hexagonal camera module of the predecessor gives way to a more graceful one, squared but with rounded edges.

Inside there is room for a trio consisting of a 50 MP main sensor (1/1.3″, f/1.6) supported by a 50 MP ultra-wide and a 200 MP periscopic telephoto lens, with 3.7x optical zoom and digital up to 100x. There is AIMage imaging technology and there is also a color temperature sensor: in short, it’s the same package offered by the Honor Magic 8 Pro, and the same goes for the internal technical setup.

The core of the experience is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, powered by a silicon-carbon battery of 7,200 mAh. In short, the novelties of Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design concern styling and materials: the design is refreshed with a supercar-inspired case, made of nanoceramic microcrystalline material with a hardness of 8.5 on the Mohs scale and a mirror-grade A0 finish.

The smartphone supports a dedicated photography kit, similar to those launched by Xiaomi, vivo and OPPO: this includes a protective case and a grip with a shutter button, together with an adapter for 67 mm filters and a 200 mm telephoto with Kepler lenses.
