Google’s next budget flagship is approaching its debut: after details on design and specifications, it’s now time for some of the most interesting details, as they touch users’ wallets.
The launch of Pixel 10a could arrive earlier than its predecessor; moreover the alleged price leaks play to the low side. A bold move by the Android company or a slip while awaiting precise figures?
Pixel 10a: price and launch date leak for Google’s new budget model
For now Google remains quiet, but in the meantime we have accumulated quite a few details. The latest news have allowed us to take a look at the design of Pixel 10a: the device should have a look almost identical to that of Pixel 9a and the same hardware specs don’t seem to hold surprises.
Meanwhile a well-known insider (known as @MysteryLupin) has revealed in advance both the supposed release date and the prices of the next Pixel budget. The launch should take place on the 17 February, almost a month earlier than its predecessor.
Pixel 10a would arrive in Europe with a starting price of about €500, for the 128 GB variant – in Obsidian, Berry, Lavender and Fog colors. The 256 GB top tier would cost around €600, in the Obsidian variant only. Official cases would have the same colors as the phones and a price of around €20.
The leaker specifies that prices are approximate and do not represent the exact figures. However we are “far” from the €549 and €649 of Pixel 9a, with a gap of as much as €50. Has Google decided to offer the new model at a lower price? Unfortunately there’s no certainty yet, but let’s keep our fingers crossed.
