After the trio consisting of A56, A36 and A26, it’s time for a new addition to the mid-range series. Samsung Galaxy A17 5G has debuted in Italy in August and is now on promo under €240: here are all the details on specifications, price and release, along with the current flash deal of the moment.
The latest budget-friendly Samsung model features a design similar to that of Galaxy A16, but with one difference: just as with the newer models, now the camera sensors are inserted into a capsule module capsule adjacent to the LED flash (instead of protruding from the chassis).
For the rest, the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G mirrors the predecessor’s features perfectly, presenting itself more as an upgrade than a true successor. There is a 6.7″ Flat Super AMOLED display at 90 Hz (now with Gorilla Glass Victus protection), a 5,000 mAh battery, an Exynos 1330 SoC and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
Again the rear hosts a triple camera setup of 50 + 5 + 2 MP with ultra-wide and macro; however there is an addition, namely the optical image stabilization (OIS) for the main sensor (absent on Galaxy A16).
Samsung Galaxy A17 5G debuts in Italy in the 8/256 GB version at a price of €319.9: the device is on launch promo at €239 both in the official Samsung store and on Amazon with Prime shipping. In recent months there have also been details about a 4G version, but at the moment there is no announcement from Samsung.
