After the launch of Redmi Note 7 and the premium models of the K20 series, here is finally the new mid-range of the Chinese company, Redmi Note 8 e Notes redmi 8 Pro. Here is everything you need to know about the technical data, price and availability.

Design and construction

The new models of the Redmi Note series arrive with a look similar to that of the predecessor, with a back cover in Gorilla Glass 5 glass and an aluminum perimeter frame. At the rear we have a fingerprint reader, while the vertical quad camera is positioned at the top left of the Redmi Note 8, in the center of the body in the Notes redmi 8 Pro.

Speaking of news, the big brother integrates a system of liquid cooling, in order to maintain low temperatures during the game phases.

Display

The Redmi Note 8 is equipped with a panel LCD da 6.3 inches with resolution Full HD + (2340 x 1080 pixel) and report in 19.5: 9. As for the older brother, the dimensions increase slightly thanks to a diagonal of 6.53 inches. In both cases the screen is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 glass while the Pro model gains the TÜV Rheinland certification.

Unfortunately, these are LCD displays and users who expected an OLED solution - at least on the Pro model - will be left dry.

The Redmi Note 8 is the first smartphone in the series with a 48 + 8 + 2 + 2 MP quad camera on board, with wide angle, macro sensor and PDAF autofocus. The Note 8 Pro boasts the same configuration, but with the 1 MP Samsung GW64 main sensor, capable of producing 16 mega-pixel photos with 1.6 µm pixels using Tetracell technology. This will be particularly useful in the night situation, with sharper and more detailed photos even in low light. In addition, the company has focused heavily on shooting at 64 MP, a resolution so high from allow extreme crops.

Aesthetically speaking, compared to Redmi Note 7 now the photographic sector would be moved to central part of the back cover.
