At Unpacked 2023 the protagonists were the three of Galaxy S23 series, but there was no lack of official presentation of the family Samsung Galaxy Book 3. In addition to unveiling its new flagship smartphones, Samsung has done the same for the mobile PC sector. So let's see what the news and the differences are, given that there are three models for all tastes at the debut: Pro, Ultra and 360.
Samsung presents the Galaxy Book 3 series: all the news in the notebook field
For its new laptops, Samsung has used aluminum shells and more eco-sustainable materials, such as recycled plastic obtained from fishing nets removed from the oceans and the elimination of plastics from the packaging. To ensure a certain degree of protection, there is a fingerprint reader on the outlined power button backlit keyboard.
Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro is available in two versions from 14 "and 16" 3K, both featuring screens Dynamic AMOLED 2X, the same technology as Samsung's top-of-the-range smartphones with a 120 Hz. The performances are offered by Intel Core solutions i5 / i7 13th Gen with Intel Iris X GPUse, together with 8 / 16 GB of RAM LPDDR5, 512 GB / 1 TB of SSD memory and batteries from 63 / 76 Wh with USB-C charging from 65. The connectivity department includes Wi-Fi 6E 2×2 and Bluetooth 5.1, along with 2 ports Thunderbolt 4, 1 USB-A, 1 HDMI 1.4, microSD slot and headphone/microphone input. In addition to the 1080p webcam, video call quality is enhanced by two AI Noise Canceling microphones and Studio Mode to improve lighting and framing, along with four speakers 14W AKG with Dolby Atmos.
Then there is Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, which according to Samsung will be the “reference for content creators”. With screen from 16 ″ 3K, the top-of-the-line model boasts a platform i9 13th Gen and a dedicated NVIDIA RTX graphics card GeForce 4070, all combined with 16 / 32 GB of RAM and a battery of 76 Wh with faster charging a 100; another difference is the HDMI 2.0 port instead of 1.4.
Then there is Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360, 2-in-1 convertible with a screen 16″ 3K touchscreen with support to S Pen (included) to be able to use it for your own digital creations. It includes an Intel Core configuration i7 13th Gen, with 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, 76Wh of battery and 65W charging.
Samsung has also worked hard on the software to make the ecosystem more interconnected. Samsung MultiControl allows you to quickly switch between smartphones, tablets and PCs, copy/paste shared and use the notebook keyboard and trackpad on the smartphone; with Second Screen, the tablet becomes a second wireless monitor of the PC; thanks to the synergy with Windows, then, the history of websites from smartphones is also shared with the PC to continue reading on a larger screen.
