First launch in China e then in Italy: the first weeks of the year brought the brand new Red Magic 8 Pro to the Global market, the first top of the gaming range powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. In 2023 it should see a decline in models specifically designed for the game, but a handful of diehards remain: in addition to the Red Magic flagship there will also be a new beast of ASUS, Namely ROG Phone 7.

ASUS ROG Phone 7: first details on specifications and release period of the next gaming top
What intrigues the most about the top of the gaming range is certainly the design: the performances are taken for granted (these are top models with disproportionate amounts of RAM and advanced cooling systems) while the look is to be discovered. The current ROG Phone 6 it debuted with futuristic styling and a rear LED panel and we can't wait to see how tamarro the next one will be ASUS ROG Phone 7.
There are no images yet, but the first leaks have begun: first of all it seems that there will be three models, with a Pro or Ultimate version and a D (as happened in the last generation). ROG Phone 7 will be accompanied by its older brother Pro or Ultimate and a 7D version, presumably with a Dimensity chipset.
Global models should have initials AI2205_A e AI2205_E (7 and 7 Ultimate) while the Chinese ones AI2205_B, AI2205_D and AI2205_F (7, 7D and the flagship variant 7 Ultimate).
The heart of the new gaming top of the range will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen2, with memories up to 16 / 256 GB. For the Ultimate there would be well 512 GB of storage, as also confirmed by a new image leaked on the net, which portrays the settings screen of ROG Phone 7 Pro. Of course, a screen will not be missing AMOLED with an advanced refresh rate (at least at 165 Hz or higher) while for the software we are talking about Android 13.
The release of ASUS ROG Phone 7 has not yet been confirmed by the Asian house, but we already have a time window. The leaks refer to the third quarter of 2023, therefore between July and September.
