Design and display
Let's go straight into the vivo with wearable design. Google Pixel Watch sports a circular display with Gorilla Glass 5 from curved edges and with a rotating crown it's a physical button positioned on the right of the crate from 41 mm (12.3 mm thick and 36 grams in weight), which embeds a panel AMOLED da 1.6”With brightness up to 1000 nit and 320 PPI.
The look has been thought to blend seamlessly with Wear OS, redesigned to ensure fluidity and an optimal experience on the round design of the wearable. To understand how it will perform from vivo, we leave you some pictures of the last hour that show it to us in full.
The 20mm strap is made of soft, flexible and anti-fingerprint silicone, probably interchangeable. Thanks to the rounded and raised caseback, the crown does not come into too much contact with the wrist, ensuring a comfortable experience even when sleeping or exercising.
Le body coloring there are three (Champagne Gold, Polished Silver and Matte Black) and there is no lack of certification 5ATM for diving up to 50 meters deep.
Hardware and software
The hardware part of the Google Pixel Watch is based on the chipset Exynos 9110 made by Samsung. This is an exclusive solution for Google, perhaps a customized version of the current Exynos W920 seen on board Galaxy Watch 4, assisted by 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of memory. The device integrates a 300 mAh able to offer up to one day of autonomy and with magnetic charging.
The smartwatch supports the main Google apps, such as Maps, Assistant and Wallet, while for the rest of the features we find all the typical elements.
We therefore have continuous monitoring cardiac activity, the detection of values SpO2, the electrocardiogram and many others sports mode; in addition there will be the integration of the functions of Fitbit for tracking health and fitness goals.
For the rest of the components, we also have a Cortex-M33 coprocessor, Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4 GHz Mono-Band Wi-Fi, NFC and LTE connectivity. GPS seems to be missing at the moment, but never say never.
Moving on to the software part, the wearable has on its side WearOS 3.5, the most updated version of Google's operating system for wearables, following the one we find at the moment implemented on Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 only and Watch 5.
Google Pixel Watch - Price and Release
The launch of the Google Pixel Watch took place during the event of 6 October, along with the new ones Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, while regarding the price we talk about $399.9 for all available colors. In Europe, the wearable is available at €429 (in Germany); as for Italy, at the moment there are no details.
