Motorola is trying to return a reference brand for telephony, and the new flagship Moto X30 Pro aka Moto Edge 30 Ultra is the prime example. The smartphone in question proves to be very capable in terms of technical specifications, while maintaining a fairly reasonable price for the novelties it brings with it, with excellent hopes for the Global market.
Moto Edge 30 Ultra / X30 Pro: everything you need to know
Design and display
Motorcycle x30 pro o Moto Edge 30 Ultra? Before knowing the design, we need to clarify the name, which will change according to the geographical area: X30 Pro for China, Edge 30 Ultra for the West.
Having said that, the smartphone finds a display from 6,67 ″ AMOLED Full HD + 10-bit with refresh rate a 144 Hz. Motorola opted for a panel curved, whose shapes are also taken from the back of the body. Present the supports to DC Dimming, color range DCI-P3 100% and a sampling of the touch a 1.500 Hz.
Features and technical specifications
After the external part, what makes the Moto Edge 30 Ultra extremely interesting is what concerns the internal technical specifications, since we have first-rate features. We start with it Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, Qualcomm's latest flagship 4nm TSMC solution, with octa-core Kryo CPU (1 x 3,2 GHz + 3 x 2,7 GHz + 4 x 1,8 GHz) and Adreno 730 GPU. For memory cuts , the brand has chosen three storage cuts, namely from 8 / 128 GB, 12 / 256 GB e 12 / 512 GB. A configuration that made it possible to achieve a record Antutu score of 1.114.761 points.
The battery module, on the other hand, is from 4.610 mAh, with the smartphone taking ultra-fast charging from 125W, as well as one wireless charging da 50W and inverse from 10W. The connectivity department does not fail to offer 5G dual SIM support, as well as Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, NFC and GPS / A-GPS / GLONASS / BDS / Galileo / QZSS / NavIC. There is also an 11-layer dissipation system with a vapor chamber, while for the audio we find a Dolby Atmos stereo speaker and RichTap system. For the software we find Android 12 customized with MyUI 4.0 (GlobalMyUX).
Camera
Without going around it too much, the Moto Edge 30 Ultra's primary focus is on the camera. On the rear there are in fact three sensors, but it is the main one that steals the scene in a clear way. This is because we will officially find the first 200 MP sensor never seen on a smartphone. It will be the Samsung ISOCELL HP1 f/2.2 from 1 / 1.22 ″, sensor of which we talked about earlier. But how big is this sensor actually? To make a comparison, the brand shows it next to a 1 yuan coin, thus demonstrating that it is really big.
As for the additional sensors, Moto Edge 30 Ultra/X30 Pro find two sensors from 50 MP e 12 MP. Specifically, we will have a ultra wide angle with 117 ° FOV and a telephoto 2x (IMX663).
Curious, however, how these are structured, since Motorola has announced that the focal lengths adopted are from 35 mm for the main sensor, 50 mm for the second and 85 mm for the third. A rather peculiar choice, considering that usually the top of the range have a wide angle of about 13 mm, a main one of about 23 mm and a telephoto lens of around 80/100 mm. This means that the main sensor will have a more zoomed shot than usual, like Nubia Z40 Pro. Surprise also for the selfie camera, since there is a well punch-hole sensor 60 MP same as for Edge 30 Pro.
If you're curious about how a 200MP camera shoots, Lenovo's General Manager posted the first photo taken by the Edge 30 Ultra, which is extremely detailed. This is due to the fact that, despite the Pixel Binning, the camera still shoots a 50 MP, therefore at high resolution.

Although we know for sure that we will call Moto Edge 30 Ultra, as regards the price we will refer, for the moment, to X30 Pro, clearly presented before. The cost of the three cuts in China starts at around €503 (3.499 yuan) for the model 8 / 128 GB, going up to approx €574 (3.999 yuan) for the 12 / 256 GB and finally, the maximum model from 12 / 512 GB about €618 (4.299 yuan). These are prices that certainly bode well for the Global landing, which could probably take place at the end of August or September 2022.
