After weeks of rumors and indiscretions, OPPO has finally confirmed which chipsets will be present on the series Reno 8 Global. In fact, the brand has announced that we will find both the base model and the Pro model equipped with MediaTek SoC, aiming to give total confidence to the Taiwanese manufacturer.
OPPO Reno 8 and 8 Pro Global: Dimensity 1300 and 8100-MAX protagonists, but there is MariSilicon X
Initially, the first rumors about the Reno 8 series for the international market were aimed at seeing it Snapdragon 7 Gen1 and Size 8100-MAX as solutions for the SoC of the two models that would have landed. OPPO, however, has changed all perspectives by announcing that it will be a totally MediaTek-themed speech in relation to chipsets.
What does this mean? Which OPPO will bring to India and probably to Europe Reno 8 e Reno 8 Pro + China and will make them the base model and the Pro Global model. This choice only confirms how much the brands are trusting the Taiwanese manufacturer which in its 2022 is gathering more and more acclaim thanks to its hardware solutions.
Totally giving up on Qualcomm is a particular choice, but one that could bring interesting implications. Especially if on the model Reno 8 Pro we will find HusbandSilicon X, the NPU dedicated to imaging made by OPPO itself. Among other things, the choice not to bring Reno 8 Pro with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 could be related to a supply problem or to a possible OnePlus themed rebranding, as it was talked about a few days ago.
In short, we just have to wait until the next 21 July 2022 to discover all the definitive details of a Reno series that never promises to be extremely interesting this year.
