Here we are: today is the day of the official presentation of the K50 series, including Redmi K50 e K50 Pro (but no Pro + model). After leaving the stage lights to the Xiaomi 12 series, now official also in Italy, Redmi renews its high-end. And it does so with three new models, with more advanced features than previous generations: let's see what all the news are.

The design adopted for the Redmi K50 series differs from the previous chapters, partially similar to Xiaomi Civi for the photographic module which, however, is circular in shape and includes three sensors. They are available in 4 colors, the same between the 2 models.
Redmi K50 and K50 Pro are the first Redmi models with a 6,67 ″ 2K WQHD, with refresh rate a 120 Hz and protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. A screen certified by DisplayMate, managing to break 16 records in terms of its visual quality. And nothing more sensor side: fingerprint release takes place via the sensor located on the side below the screen.
As anticipated by the teasers, the Redmi K50 series represents the debut on the market of the new MediaTek chips: the base model has the Dimensity 8100, 5nm TSMC SoC with Cortex-A78 CPU up to 2,75GHz and Mali-G610 GPU. On the Pro we find the long-awaited for the first time Dimensity 9000, the only TSMC 4nm SoC around, with ARMv9 octa-core CPU up to 3,05 GHz and Mali-G710 GPU. The Pro model is also the company's first to have LPDDR5 memory at 6400 Mbps and up to 512 GB UFS 3.1. Inside the smartphone there is also a cooling system to keep temperatures low via a vapor chamber and dissipative layers. In addition to including 5G and Wi-Fi 6 support, the K50 series is the world's first with connectivity Bluetooth 5.3, with low power consumption, very low latency and LC3 codec.
For batteries we have a unit from 5.500 mAh with recharge a 67w on Redmi K50 and from 5.000 mAh a 120w on K50 Pro, power also allowed by the proprietary chip Surge P1. This speed allows the smartphone to go from 0% to 100% in just 19 minutes. There are big news and differences for the photographic sector, from 48 + 8 + 2 MP on the base and from 108 + 8 + 2 MP on the Pro, but both have optical stabilization for the first time OIS. The multimedia sector also includes a selfie camera from 20 MP, Over which stereo speaker.
Redmi K50 is priced at 2.399 yuan (€341) for the 8/128 GB, rising to 2.599 yuan (€370) for 8/256 GB and 2.799 yuan (€398) for 12/256 GB. Redmi K50 Pro instead has a higher price of 2.999 yuan (€427) for 8/128 GB, 3.299 yuan (€470) for 8/256 GB, 3.599 yuan (€512) for the 12/256 GB and finally 3.999 yuan (€570) for 12/512 GB.
