In the maxi event dedicated to the new flagships, we also saw the presentation of xiaomi watch s1, the company's new series of wearable products. How does the new Xiaomi smartwatch look like? WatchS1 it is definitely a product designed for both elegance and movement. Indeed, the circular case is made of stainless steel in two colors, accompanied by two function keys, not far from the last Watch color 2, more designed for sport. Interestingly, a calf leather strap has been introduced, which gives a finer look to the product.
But it is the display that makes this wearable undoubtedly valuable, since we have a sapphire crystal to make a screen and this is accompanied by a AMOLED display 1.43 "with a density of 326 PPI. Added to this is an excellent battery from 470 mAh, which allows a full autonomy of 12 days.
Looking at what xiaomi watch s1 has inside, we have a proprietary interface that, for the first time from the historic Mi Watch, allows you to make the Bluetooth calls, but also to monitor 117 sports activities such as Watch Color 2 and all the various parameters useful for health. In addition, there is both NFC for bus cards, both the XiaoAI voice assistant and also a waterproof certification up to 5 ATM.
Price and availability
Xiaomi Watch S1 is officially presented together with Xiaomi 12, 12Pro e MIUI 13 and it did so with a price of approx €146 (1.049 yuan), but for the version with a leather strap, the price rises to around 160 € (1.149 yuan). Considering the advent of smartwatch phone calls, we can define them prices quite framed with what we have on the market, thinking for example of vivo Watch 2 or OPPO Watch 2, which are however equipped with eSIM. As for the Global distribution, we only have to expect that Xiaomi will make it the successor of the Mi Watch arrived to us, perhaps as Watch 2 or even Watch 2 Classic, in case the rebranding of the Color 2 also arrives.
