Xiaomi Pad 5 sold out in Europe: is the tablet market reborn?

It took time, but finally Xiaomi pad 5 made its debut in Europe, including Italy, marking the entry of Lei Jun's company into the tablet market. To tell the truth, Xiaomi had already had its say in the sector, starting from 2014 with the first Mi Pad to which they followed Mi Pad 2, Mi Pad 3 and finally Mi Pad 4. The latter arrived in 2018 and since then the company has decided to stop, also thanks to a stagnation of the tablet market. While Apple has continued to lead the way with its iPad family, all the various Android manufacturers have downsized their tablet offering. But it seems that in recent years something has changed, as evidenced by thegrowing interest both by companies and especially by consumers.

It was immediately noticed that the Xiaomi Pad 5 had tickled the palate (and the wallet) of the Mi Fans. The opening of sales in China had started with a bang, exceed the 200.000 units sold in just 5 minutes. It is not the first time that Xiaomi amazes us with sold out in a few minutes, even if this time we are talking about a tablet and not a smartphone.

If you have followed the official presentation for Italy, then you will know that Xiaomi Pad 5 sales in Europe started yesterday 23 September. And history repeated itself: as insiders report, Xiaomi Pad 5 is gone sold out in Europe in less than 10 minutes. Not surprisingly, if you try to visit it official Italian store it can be seen that the tablet is no longer available for purchase, at least for the moment.

A result that we expected, given that Xiaomi is used to flash sale of new products at a very attractive price. So it was also for Xiaomi Pad 5, which instead of costing the € 399,90 list price was offered for 24 hours for € 299,90. A figure that evidently attracted the attention of many, running out of stocks that were available (of which we do not know the quantity, however).
