Since they have been officially in our market, but also from before, Redmi's TWS earphones are always among the most chosen ever. Cheap, well made and above all simple to use. But something more was missing, which the Redmi AirDots 3 also looked like not have, then everything seems to have changed. In fact, the TWS earphones Redmi Buds 3 Pro (or AirDots 3 Pro depending on localization) in this review are the first in the series equipped with ANC, but will they perform well?
Redmi Buds 3 Pro review
These earphones Redmi Buds 3 Pro in review they seem to give themselves an important tone right from the packaging, which we found to be real top range in the sector and perhaps even more stylish than those of the Flip Buds Pro (and it takes some!).
Inside we obviously find the earphones, accompanied by the manuals (for our model in Chinese, but in the Italian version it will probably also be in the language), from a separate box with rubbers of 3 additional measures (not from poco) is USB-C cable flat, all matched in the color of the product. Really enjoyed it.
Design and materials
Where can we start giving Redmi and Xiaomi a round of applause? Probably from the form factor of these earphones. In fact, they were meant for a earphone insertion perfectly comfortable, in fact they are totally detached from the previous ones and are close to those of Sony which, however, cost almost 10 times as much. The case also undergoes an aesthetic improvement by resembling, especially in the color that happened to us, a well-polished and opaque stone.
But let's move on to the materials. The rubberized polycarbonate chosen for earphones and case is of very high quality, everything is opaque and this is a panacea to avoid excessive fingerprints. Then, the little gem probably inspired by Samsung's Galaxy Buds: the touch control area is in a sort of glossy-clear glasstic with pearly reflections, a really chic touch.
Another shot from 90 of these Redmi Buds 3 Pro (AirDots 3 Pro) are certainly the smart functions, which in the version we have maintain the small gap of an application totally in Chinese. By purchasing the Global version, however, this problem is solved, especially if you have a Xiaomi / Redmi smartphone.
Returning to the touch controls, they are very precise, you don't have to insist on touches and above all they are useful. With two touches we put Play / Pause, we stop a call, while with 3 taps we pass from one song to another or raise and lower the volume. Finally, with the prolonged touch we recall theVocal Assistant or we activate active noise cancellation. Everything can be set headset by headset on the XiaoAI application.
What about this application? Eh ... what a pity! We reiterate, as already happened with the FlipBuds Pro and other models, that this application turns out to be really very complete but unfortunately only in Chinese and we do not understand at all why Xiaomi does not have a translation at least in English. The settings, however, once you are familiar with them, you learn them and therefore can also be fine, but not to dwell too much.
Let's now move on to another advantage of smart functions: the pairing and the ANC. The first is quick, smart and can lead us to a connection simultaneous on two devices different and it is very comfortable. Bluetooth 5.2 really does its duty. For the ANC, i 35 dB of reduction they all feel and isolate us really well, as does the Transparency mode that can be set to various scenes (such as deleting the rest, but only for Android). Ear sensing is as comfortable as ever. All promoted.
Audio Quality - Redmi Buds 3 Pro
Can such good management of hardware and software not have an audio up to it? Obviously not! The sound released by these Redmi is really clean and certainly for the price category excels. We liked the management of the AAC codec both on Android and on Apple with Apple Music Lossless, although we remember that Bluetooth is not a friend of Hi-Res.
For the calls, however, we have nothing to say. They hear us clearly, so much so that those who spoke to us said "I hear you better than with other headphones"And the others were Honor, Huawei and Samsung, therefore certainly rivals in terms of price and methods. Ambient noise reduction microphones do a very important job.
The autonomy of the Redmi Buds 3 Pro in review. The battery of the module inside the earphones allows us to have approx 3 hours of listening, while with the case we reach the circ of 28 hours guaranteed by the brand. The module is not huge, but it performs well.
