It didn't take long before the team Xiaomi.eu worked on porting the update, released a few hours ago, To MIUI 12.5 to Xiaomi Mi Max 3. A very useful port, given that Mi Max 3 is a smartphone from an era in which Xiaomi was not yet officially present on European soil. For the moment, the major update has been released only in China version, later it will arrive in the Global one but nothing to do for the EEA ROM, then. Not having been marketed in Europe, there is no European ROM for the latest exponent of the now defunct phablet category.
With Xiaomi.eu the update to MIUI 12.5 arrives in Europe on Xiaomi Mi Max 3
The fact is that the update to MIUI 12.5 was also expected by the owners of Xiaomi Mi Max 3, although we are talking about a slightly dated smartphone. It was released with MIUI 9, so this is the fourth update of Xiaomi's proprietary interface, the news of which have already been discussed in detail in my preview. Featured are audio / video news, security, privacy and cloud improvements and a new Notes app. All features that we find in the port Xiaomi.eu, to which are added optimizations such as Italian language, Google services and so on.
However, we are talking about a port, as far as official ROMs are concerned. Therefore the Xiaomi.eu ROMs are in effect custom ROMs: to install it, therefore, you will have to do it first unlocking the bootloader, then installing the TWRP custom recovery.
