The category of camera phones is increasingly rich in exponents, among which there is also vivo X60 Pro +, entered by right among the best second smartphones DxOMark. A terminal with all the trappings, starting from the respectable hardware sector, based on Qualcomm's latest high-end solution, the Snapdragon 888. Not to mention the curved Super AMOLED screen at 120 Hz, a battery with 55W charging and even a variant made of eco-leather. But since we are talking about photographic quality, let's see what are the merits and defects highlighted by the evaluation of the Parisian team.
The top 10 of DxOMark welcomes the vivo X60 Pro + camera
Before proceeding, let's take a recap of the vivo X60 Pro + camera specs:
- Primary 23 mm from 50 MP f/1.57 with 1 / 1 ″ Samsung GN1.3 sensor, 1.2 µm pixels, OIS and laser autofocus + Dual PDAF
- Wide angle 14 mm from 48 MP f/2.2 with 114 ° FoV, 1 / 2.8 ″ sensor, 0,8 µm pixels and Gimbal technology
- 50mm telephoto lens 32 MP f/2.08 with 1 / 2.8 ″ sensor, 0.8 µm pixels and PDAF autofocus
- 125mm telephoto lens 8 MP f/3.4 with 1 / 4.0 ″ sensor, OIS and PDAF autofocus
Worthy of mention is the collaboration with the famous company Carl Zeiss, with which Zeiss optics with T * lenses and Tessar certification have been implemented.
A high-profile hardware sector and, as expected, vivo X60 Pro + has achieved an excellent score, although it does not figure among the top positions. With 128 points, its camera enjoys accurate exposure and white balance, a wide dynamic range and satisfying color rendition. The overall quality is very high in almost all lighting conditions, offering high details in the captured subjects, although there are some flaws. The most obvious ones concern the instability of the exposure, a visible noise level and an autofocus that is not always effective. The presence of a double telephoto lens allows you to have a very good zoom quality, although inferior to competitors such as Huawei Mate 40 Pro + and Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra.
Speaking of video quality, vivo X60 Pro + can count on a 5-axis VIS stabilization, with support up to 4320p at 30 fps. The score is equal to 110 points, with very good overall quality: great details outdoors and indoors, good color rendering and precise white balance. Again, however, the noise becomes visible when the lights go down.
