When you are talking about OnePlus you only have one thing in mind: the quickness. This is in fact one of the characteristics that has always distinguished the company thanks to the excellent combination of hardware and software. However, in recent years we have tried to give more attention to other sectors, such as for example camera. So today we want you to talk about OnePlus 9 Pro, the first smartphone of the Chinese house to have a sector created in partnership with a specialized company in the sector, that is Hasselblad.
How did the sensors behave? Will the smartphone be valid overall? We just have to find out in our full review!

Design and construction
If on the front we do not find particular differences compared to its predecessors, on the back we have a Renewed design thanks to the photographic module that takes its cue from the latest Apple smartphones and the coloring Morning crap, which is mirrored in the lower part and opaque in the upper part.
The touch feeling is truly fantastic, da true premium smartphone. In fact, the materials used are always of great quality, that is glass on the back cover e aluminum on the side frame, which guarantee great solidity. Unfortunately, the downside is that a lot of fingerprints are retained, but they can be removed just as easily with a simple wipe.
As for the size, we do not differ from mine OnePlus 8 that I use as a personal smartphone, we are talking about 163.2 x 73.6 x 8.7 millimeters for a weight of 197 grams. The curved edges make it easy to use with one hand, but it must be said that it is not very easy to use since the glass on the back is also a bit slippery. The situation definitely improves with the supplied cover.
Like the best top of the range too OnePlus 9 Pro owns one IP68 certification which will protect him from water and dust.
For the rest below we find the system speaker, the main microphone and the USB Type-C input, while above there is the second microphone. On the right side we can see the classic OnePlus switch and the power button, unlike the opposite side on which the volume balance is placed.
Aboard OnePlus 9 Pro we find a display AMOLED LTPO to 10 bit from 6.7 inches diagonal with resolution Quad HD + (3126 x 1440 pixels) in 20: 9, density of PPI 525, refresh rate up to 120 Hz, maximum brightness up to 1300 nits (in the peak) and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The panel of this OnePlus it is one of the best around thanks to vivid colors, but never too saturated and that offer a rendering as close to reality as possible. However, if you are not satisfied, you can adjust the colors to your liking within the settings.
Here we find a large number of customizations, such as the comfortable hue that automatically adjusts the screen color based on the ambient light, or the effect of vibrant color Pro (dynamically optimizes the colors and contrasts of videos), the very high resolution (AI gives more clarity to web videos) or the classic screen calibration.
In direct sunlight we will not have any particular difficulties in reading since the device reaches a peak of 1300 nits. Furthermore, always through the settings we will be able to manage other features related to dark mode, the resolution of the display (if you choose FHD + or QDH +), the increase in video frame rates, the always-on display and the halos of light upon receiving notifications and much more. I leave you some screenshots of the features below.
I would like to speak in particular of the display refresh rate, as we can choose between two modes: the standard a 60Hz or the smart 120Hz, which will automatically manage the frequency according to the application in use. To this we also associate the support to touch detection up to 360Hz (Called Hyper Touch), which combined with the previous functionality allows us to have a very high level of playability.
Hardware and Performance
Il OnePlus 9 Pro it is powered by a Qualcomm chipset Snapdragon 888, which is inclusive of an octa-core processor with a maximum clock frequency of 2.84 GHz, a GPU Adreno 660, 12 GB di RAM LPDDR5 e 256 GB di UFS storage 3.1 not expandable via microSD. Of course, the lower memory cut from is also available 8 / 128 GB from the official website e 8 / 256 GB from Banggood.
From this point of view, I don't really have any criticisms to make, as the smartphone is a rocket as always thanks to the excellent proprietary interface. In fact, we do not find any kind of problem in the switch between applications, not even the most demanding ones, and daily use runs smoothly. I think it's the dream of any lover of speed and high-level performance.
Needless to say, even in OnePlus 9 Pro gaming it behaves very well managing to reproduce even the heaviest and most elaborate titles in maximum detail and without particular sudden frame drops. Furthermore, on this model the company has also thought about cases of overheating, as it has increased the size of the graphite and copper sheet to ensure even more effective heat dissipation.
As for the camera, the OnePlus 9 Pro owns a quad room with main sensor Sony IMX789 from 48 mega-pixels and aperture f / 1.8, a ultra-wide-angle Sony IMX766 from 50 mega-pixels and f / 2.2, a telephoto da 8 mega-pixels and f / 2.4 and a monochrome da 2 mega-pixels and f / 2.4. These are accompanied by one optical stabilizer a double LED flash and Multi Autofocus (All pixel omni-directional PDAF + LAF + CAF).
At the beginning we talked about the partnership with Hasselblad, but it is good to say that the Swedish brand has taken care of the color calibration, more in detail it has introduced the Natural Color Calibration in Pro Mode, which provides more accurate color information from a perceptual point of view.
Di day the shots are of a high standard thanks to a good definition, colors faithfully represented and an automatic HDR that always manages to intervene very well. The management of the lights is well calibrated, the natural bokeh is of quality and I also liked the wide-angle shots that do not show an excessive loss of quality and are much better than those of OnePlus 8.
Di will be the night mode manages to be really satisfying, as with a good hand it stops the OnePlus 9 Pro it can find light even when it is scarce. I also liked the management of the lights and the definition in partially bright contexts. In these cases, even the wide angle gives joy and overall I was satisfied.
On the front we find a Sony IMX471 sensor from 16 mega-pixels with f / 2.4 aperture, digital stabilizer and fixed focus.
This camera performs remarkably well in daylight thanks to good colors, excellent definition and good natural bokeh. In the evening the quality drops slightly, but we still remain in the sufficiency.
I video can be registered up to a maximum of 8K a 30 fps, but we also find 4K up to 120 fps. Excellent stabilization, colors and focus which is very fast and responsive.
Audio and connectivity
OnePlus 9 Pro can boast of one stereo speaker thanks to the support of the ear capsule and overall we have a fairly powerful sound and characterized by a good balance of frequencies. In fact, the bass are felt and we do not find an imbalance on the highs and the mids.
In support we also find the Dolby Atmos for even better equalization and even a Bluetooth 5.2 capable of supporting various codecs including aptX, aptXHD, LDAC, AAC. Finally, the audio on call is crystal clear and the microphone captures our voice very well.
As far as connectivity is concerned, the OnePlus 9 Pro can boast of the presence of dual SIM 5G SA + NSA, Wi-Fi 6, Dual-frequency GPS / A-GPS / GLONASS / Beidou / Galileo, USB Type-C 3.1 with audio and video output and also theNFC.
In short, a very complete sector that does not present any criticalities either from the point of view of reception or satellite navigation, which quickly locks the signal and performs well even in the most difficult points.
Il fingerprint sensor it is located below the display and works quite well and with a decent speed. Alternatively you can use the facial recognition 2D, which is very fast in the daytime, but loses a few shots at night in the absence of light, unless the brightness of the smartphone is high enough.
Il OnePlus 9 Pro is based on Android 11 with proprietary interface Oxygen OS 11.2, a UI that has always been characterized by its own almost stock look it's a fluidity out of the ordinary. In fact, the user experience with this OnePlus is phenomenal, one of the best in the smartphone landscape.
Despite the stock aspect we find an infinity of customizations. In fact, to those of the display we have seen previously are also added those relating to the backgrounds, the icon pack, the font, the quick gestures, the alert slider, the Zen Mode, the app locker, the parallel apps and much even more.
In short, with this Oxygen OS you never get bored and personally I consider it one of the best interfaces for my type of use. I know it is a subjective opinion and that this can change from person to person according to your needs.
Under the body of the OnePlus 9 Pro we find one battery da 4500 mAh, which allows us to obtain a good autonomy, but which does not differ particularly from that of its predecessor.
Indeed, with intense use, alwyas-on active display and automatic refresh rate most of the time you can get to will be, but I do not deny that with the hotspot active I sometimes had to do a recharge in the late afternoon.
Fortunately OnePlus is one of the main innovators in this sector and, thanks to65W power supply supplied, you will be able to pass from 0 to 100% in just half an hour. Should you want to take advantage of the fast wireless charging a 50W then they will be needed 43 minutes about.
Finally, we find many features related to energy saving, but also the possibility of taking advantage of reverse wireless charging on other devices.
Conclusions - OnePlus 9 Pro
In conclusion this OnePlus 9 Pro it turned out to be a top of the range without compromise. In fact, if in the past the brand has always sinned a little more on the camera, this year it is catching up with the main competitors in the sector and we are confident that in a few years it will be among the main players.
For the rest we find excellent performance, ultra-fast charging, a high-level display and very fast software. This time the price is especially tempting, because despite the price list it is placed at 999 € for the variant 12 / 256 GB, its Banggood, thanks to the coupons we share daily on GizDeals, you can take it home to:
