Finally we find out officially OnePlus North CE, the new mid-range exponent and to all intents and purposes successor of the North N10 5G, inheriting its target market. It is therefore a smartphone that aims at the medium / low range of the market, given that the flagship model of the family will be the future Nord 2. So let's see what are the news of OnePlus, between technical data, price and availability.
OnePlus Nord CE 5G: everything we know
Design and display
The new OnePlus Nord CE 5G - where CE stands for Core Edition - it is not a flagship smartphone, therefore there are no big news in terms of aesthetics, starting from perforated screen. The device has a display on its side AMOLED da 6,43 "Full HD + (2400 x 1080 pixels) in 20: 9 with a density of 410 PPI and Ambient mode. This is a big step up from the N10 and N100, both of which have LCD panels. For the refresh rate, it goes up from 60 to 90 Hz, just like the first generation North.
The body measures 159,2 x 73,5 x 7,9 mm for a weight of 170 g and includes a sensor ID under the display (peculiarity for AMOLED) and not lateral as the power button has a standard conformation. OnePlus has decided to continue with the glossy plastic for the back cover and a metal frame.
Hardware and camera
The device is powered by a chipset with a modem for connectivity 5G. On Nord N10 5G we had the Snapdragon 690, but with Nord CE we have it Snapdragon 750G, 8 nm chipset with octa-core Kryo 570 CPU (2 x 2,2 GHz + 6 x 1,8 GHz) and Adreno 619 GPU, with X52 modem. Side memories we find 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. As for the battery, we have an amperage equal to 4.500 mAh with Warp Charge 30T fast charge a 30 (70% in 30 minutes). There is also an entrance mini-jack for use with wired headphones, as well as support 5G, Wi-Fi ac Dual Band, Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD, NFC and GPS / A-GPS / GLONASS / Galileo / Beidou / NaviC.
With regard to the photographic sector, we find a triple camera from 64 + 8 + 2 MP, including wide-angle and monochrome sensor. Shooting modes include 4K video at 30fps and Slow Motion 1080p at 120fps. In the perforated screen, then, we find a selfie camera from 16 MP.
OnePlus Nord CE 5G - Price and release date
As for the price of OnePlus Nord CE 5G, we start from €299 for the 6/128 GB version; the 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB models are offered instead a €329 e €399. The presales have already started through the official website (you can find it here) although at the moment only the increased versions are available. The actual sales will start from 21 June 2021 on the OnePlus and Amazon website.
