We recently talked about how the camera di Notes redmi 10 Pro has passed the scrutiny of DxOMark and at this turn it's up to POCO X3NFC. A noteworthy evaluation, given that it concerns another of the best-selling smartphones in the Xiaomi catalog. Talking about camera phones is undoubtedly fascinating, but knowing what the Parisian team thinks of the mid-range photographic sector so many sold is equally interesting. Especially when, nowadays, even low-cost smartphones can reserve a higher quality of the shots than assumed at the start.
POCO X3 NFC returns to be talked about on DxOMark, this time with the camera
Let's start by listing how the camera is composed POCO X3NFC:
- Primary 26mm Sony IMX682 64MP f/1.89, 1 / 1.73 ″ sensor, 1.6 μm pixels
- 16 mm 13 MP wide angle f/2.2 with a FoV of 119 °
- 2 MP macro f/2.4 with 1.75 μm pixels
- Depth from 2 MP f/2.4 with 1.75 μm pixels
On paper, the camera's POCO X3 NFC is the usual one found on almost all mid-range smartphones. The score obtained is equal to 103 points, a respectable result if we consider those of Xiaomi Mi 10T (98), OPPO Find X2 Neo (105) and iPhone SE 2020 (103). All smartphones far more expensive than the model POCO, whose street price is now around under the € 200.
DxOMark underlines how the images captured in favorable conditions are at the same level as more valuable smartphones. It captures skin tone well, takes good portrait photos, and the autofocus is fast, to name a few. The only point where X3 NFC is really lacking is in the zoom, thanks to the lack of a telephoto lens and a digital zoom to be reviewed. Other flaws concern the limited dynamic range outdoors, focus at night, general color rendering and visual noise.
In video terms, POCO X3 NFC achieves 98 points, thanks above all to effective stabilization (as long as you hold it firmly) and accurate white balance. However, there is instability for exposure and autofocus, as well as exposure when there is little light.
