The newcomer of Lei Jun's company presents a body from 162.6 x 74.8 x 8.96 mm, comes with a weight of 208 grams and offers a large AMOLED display with 6.67 ″ curved edges with Full HD + resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate and 180 Hz touch sampling. Xiaomi Mi 10S it is protected by a Gorilla Glass 5 glass while in the upper left corner there is space for the punch hole for the 20 MP selfie camera.
The back houses a vertical Quad Camera, with a look that recalls the aforementioned Mi 10 Ultra. In short, if from the front we have a solution identical to what we saw with the two previous models of the family, on the back we have the first change even if the real news are contained within Xiaomi Mi 10S and touch the technical specifications.
Hardware and benchmarks
As anticipated first by the leaks and then by the same company, we find the chipset to move the Xiaomi Mi 10S Snapdragon 870, solution with 7 nm production process and a renewed Kryo 585 octa-core CPU formed as follows: 1 x 3,2 GHz + 3 x 2,42 GHz + 4 x 1,8 GHz. Basically it is an enhanced version of the Snapdragon 865 of Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10 Ultra, with a CPU that rises in the maximum frequency from the previous 2,84 GHz. The Chinese company has confirmed the presence of a cooling system al liquid with VC (Steam chamber). On the memory side we find configurations up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.0 storage.
In another you will also find the very first benchmarks of Geekbench, which show the aforementioned Snap 870 in action, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and with Android 11 software side (with MIUI 12). For the battery we have a unit from 4.780 mAh with quick charge from 33 W, which then brings it to par with the previous model. We also have support for the wireless charging da 30 and the reverse 10W. There is also a chip NFC and a dual symmetrical speaker configuration, in collaboration with Harman Kardon, already protagonist of the judgment of DxOMark.
Camera
Regarding the photographic sector, as seen from the images, Xiaomi Mi 10S is equipped with a Quad Camera. The main one is the 5MP Samsung S108KHMX with OIS, while the others are a wide-angle lens 13 MP and 123 ° FOV, one module macro 2 MP and a sensor of depth (2MP). Il price of the new Xiaomi Mi 10S and of €426 at the current exchange rate (3.299 yuan) for the 8/128 GB version; the increased variants from 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB are proposed instead at approx €452 e €491 at the exchange rate, or 3.499 / 3.799 yuan. As it is easy to guess, the device was launched only in China and it is not known that it will cross the country's borders unless it is known. The marketing at home will start from 12 March while the available colors will be three (Black, White, Blue).
