Through a press release on the official Chinese forum, Xiaomi announced the end of support software for the beta dedicated to Redmi Note 7 and other devices. This means that the mid-range - one of the most popular ever - will no longer receive major update and will remain out of the future news of the Chinese brand.
The beta support for Redmi Note 7 and other Xiaomi ends: what will change?
Based on what can be seen from the forum of the Chinese company, the MIUI 12.5 will be the last release dedicated to Redmi Note 7, Note 7 Pro e I CC9e (the Chinese version of We are A3). At present all three devices have received the latest version of the MIUI beta (here you will find the details and the links to the download) but apparently development will end in April. The three devices will then receive the latter stable version, after which, starting from April 24 2021, internal beta tests will be discontinued.
This means that the Xiaomi smartphone triptych will no longer receive important updates, like that for the next one MIUI 13.
Of course, the Chinese house will continue to release update in stable version and those dedicated to safety, so you can fix any bugs and glitches. However, as pointed out, Redmi Note 7 and the other "excluded" will not continue their journey in beta and consequently there will be no major updates and new features.
