In the last few years Anchor managed to successfully launch the brand Soundcore, which has distinguished itself for the production of audio devices with excellent value for money. In fact, in today's review we will talk about Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro, true wireless headphones with attention to the smallest details and with a sound that pleasantly surprised me.
However, will the following factors be enough to make these headphones a product not to be missed? Let's find out together in the article!
Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro review
Unboxing - Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro
The sales package is one of the most cured e complete that I have seen in recent months in fact, in addition to having a box with beautiful photos of the product and with the specifications, it is made of a rough material that gives a good feeling to the touch.
Inside there is the following equipment:
- Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro;
- charging houses;
- 6 pairs of ear tips of different sizes (7 with those installed in the headphones), that is XS, S, M, M +, L, L +, XL;
- 2 pairs of fins of different sizes (3 with those already on the headphones), namely S, M, L;
- USB charging cable - USB Type-C;
Construction and design
Although at first glance the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro they may seem bulky, actually once inserted into the ear they fit very well, do not cause any discomfort and do not protrude excessively.
This is due to their particular shape, but above all of the silicone fins which make a good grip and gods rubbers of many sizes that will allow us to isolate ourselves well from the outside even without active noise cancellation.
Even after a long time of use, therefore, the headphones do not cause discomfort inside the ear cavity and are perfect for sport both because they remain steadfast even when jumping, and because we find one IPX4 certification which will make them impermeable to rain and sweat.
The materials with which the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro they are well made thanks to a solid alternation opaque plastic e rubber. On the body of the earphones we find only the magnetic pins for charging, a status LED, the microphone and the function button as touch controls are not supported.
A somewhat particular choice since today in the price range above 100 euros almost all adopt this feature but, looking on the positive side, with a physical key it will be impossible to miss the touch or that it is received in the wrong way.
So let's explore them in detail:
- 1 tap on both: Play / Pause or answer / end call;
- 2 touches on the left: previous song or reject the call;
- 2 taps on the right: next song;
- Press for 1 second: call up voice assistant;
- 1 second press (when off): they start;
- Press for 5 seconds: switch off.
In any case you can modify them as you wish within the application "Soundcore".
Headphones can also be used individually since we don't have a master headset. Also, not having a proximity sensor when we remove the playback it will not stop automatically.
Il homes is another gem that, although it has generous dimensions, has a rounded shape and smooth as a stone of the Zen gardens. The tactile feel is great thanks to a matte coating and the slip opening is fantastic. With one hand you can open and close the case very easily.
Finally, there are the reset button, the status LEDs and the USB Type-C input.
Connectivity and calls
Le Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro have Bluetooth 5.0 with support for the codec aptX and with 4 microphones (in total) with support for the Qualcomm cVc 8.0 noise reduction.
During these weeks of use I have not encountered any particular problems with connectivity or hooking up with the phone. In fact, just slide the lid to instantly connect the headphones with your device.
The range of action is up to approx 15 meters, while there is no latency when we see movies or videos. Obviously in the Gaming the situation changes because there is a slight delay between when you press a button and when you hear the sound of the shot (for example with PUBG). This could be a problem in the Battle Royale or in competitions where hearing the noises of the enemy in time is essential, but it shouldn't be a big fault in titles like Subway Surfers, Clash Royale and so on.
With regard to calls, on the other hand, in contexts such as the office, university or other environments poco loud, the headphones do not misbehave and come to the enough albeit without surprising. Different is the speech in the subway or places with loud noises where having conversations becomes a little more difficult, but not impossible.
Audio and software
Moving toaudio it must be said that Anchor made a great work with these Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro because, despite not having an active noise cancellation system, the earphones perfectly isolate us from the outside thanks to their adherence and thanks to the very high maximum volume.
La audio quality surprised me because basically we find well balanced frequencies it's a clean sound. The real gem is not this, however, because if you want to equalize them to your liking on the app you will find both thetraditional equalizer that some customizations (well 10) made by Grammy-winning professionals but, above all, you can find theHearID.
What is HearID? Through a series of test audio our ideal profile will be analyzed and the software will generate an equalization suitable for our auditory system. Obviously you can rerun the test as many times as you want, but I must admit that it is not an innovation poco also because the difference is there and you can feel it.
Plus, you can choose from others 22 preset created based on the musical genre. In conclusion, Soundcore he has really thought of everyone and has created a product with attention to the smallest details, even the app that is often used by other brands only for updates and modification of gestures.
Then we also introduce the software, or the application "Soundcore”Through which we will be able to manage everything said poco ago, we will be able to see the charge status of the headphones and customize the commands to our liking.
This turns out to be a lot functional, has a nice design and is well developed.
As for the battery Soundcore it does not exactly say the capacity of the earphones nor that of the homes, but the latter can offer approx 4 total refills.
I've been using the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro with maximum volume and I was able to reach an average of 7 hours of continuous playback. A great result that can increase further if you simply watch movies or if you keep the volume a little lower.
Overall, we can safely approach the 32 total hours if you take into account the charging dock. About the latter, thanks to the fast recharge we will be able to listen to 2 hours of songs with only 10 minutes to the current.
Le Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro are a concrete product, with attention to the smallest details, but at the same time not like this fancy how could the latest generation TWS semi in-ear headphones be.
These earphones are currently available on Amazon a 119 €, a figure that is not exactly contained, but that in terms of audio quality and autonomy they fear no comparison with anyone, not even the most expensive ones. Fortunately we find a further one di 20 € applicable directly on the product page, by putting the check mark on "Apply coupon 20.00 €" that will bring them alone 99 €.
Yes, it may not have touch controls, it could sin in the absence of the ANC, but these absences weigh more on paper than in practice, because when you try them you immediately realize the goodness of sound, which is accompanied by a complete and functional software and a noteworthy build quality.
