Huawei Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro + official: all the news, with top display and camera
With dimensions of 162,9 x 75,5 x 9,1 mm and a weight of 212 g, Huawei Mate 40 Pro and Pro + introduce the Space Ring Design, to emphasize the importance that is given to the camera (which we will talk about later). They have a renewed screen OLED da 6,7 "Full HD + (2772 x 1344 pixels) with density of 456 PPI, refresh rate a 90 Hz and 240 Hz touch sampling. Huawei presents Kirin 9000, 5G and increasingly powerful
Obviously this is a dual SIM 5G, with Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.2, Dual-frequency GPS, IR sensor and NFC. The USB Type-C 3.1 port guarantees support for Desktop mode, even in wireless form. The multimedia sector is supported ad hoc by the implementation of two stereo speakers for sound as surround as possible. To power everything we find a battery from 4.400 mAh able to charge even faster than before. This is thanks to the Huawei standard SuperCharge 66W, also available in refill form wireless to 50W (also reverse to 5W).
The news is not lacking in the camera
The collaboration with Leica is carried out with Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro +, whose photographic department is one of the main innovations. The Space Ring Design surrounds the triple camera from 50+20+12 MP f/1.9-1.8-3.4 optically stabilized via OIS. The primary sensor Ultravision is thus flanked by a wide-angle lens, enhanced by technology free form which prevents distortions and chromatic aberrations (only on Pro +). The sound has not been underestimated, with the Audio Focus and Audio Zoom functions, with the ability to edit the clips recorded with background music. In addition, you can also record audio in videos via Bluetooth devices paired with the Mate 40.
On the front, however, the perforated display contains the dual selfie camera with sensor from 13 MP f / 2.4. The secondary is dedicated to the system of 3D Face Unlock and integrates a motion sensor useful for the management of Air Gestures. Now you can take selfie videos in 4K and Slow-Motion Selfie.
The software is enriched by EMUI 11
The aforementioned Air Gestures enable the Smart Gesture Control function, to control the smartphone without touching it: by moving your hand you can navigate the interface and answer phone calls. Furthermore, with Eyes On Display the sensor understands if we are looking at it, keeping the screen active or lowering the volume of phone calls when looking at it.

With Mate 40 Pro we see improved MeeTime video calls and the Multi-Screen Collaboration allows you to better combine smartphone and PC. Huawei has also thought about security, starting with the CC EAL5 + certification of the microkernel. With the EMUI 11, then, it is possible to delete data such as position, time and details from the images we are transferring. Furthermore, the notes can be encrypted via biometric data or PIN. Huawei Mate 40 Pro is moved by Huawei Mobile Services, gradually enriched with new components. From today, the Petal Search search engine, Petal Maps for navigation and the Huawei Docs document suite are introduced.
