Now, the CEO of OP has published a long post on the community forum in which he made official the arrival of the new range of smartphones.

And yes, OnePlus finally returns to its origins with a new series of cheaper devices. The price of the various top of the range of the brand has increased over the years due to an increasingly powerful technical sector and always in line with the main competitors. Up to now only one thing was missing: the possibility of choosing a cheaper model, but still benefiting from the OXYGEN and in general the quality of the company. After the avalanche of rumors and rumors about Oneplus z (o North part if you prefer) Pete Lau raised the curtain with an official announcement.
After focusing exclusively on flagship products for more than six years, OnePlus is ready to open up to the needs of all users and also to target a more affordable price. The new "economic" series will arrive first in Europe and then to India; in the future these models will also debut in the States.
The new products will be managed by a team led by Paul Yu, a figure who has dealt with the hardware development of many of the brand's flagships over the past 5 years.
