After waiting several years, users can finally welcome POCO F2 Pro (see the full review here). This smartphone, officially arrived also in Italy, is proposed as one of the best solutions for relationship quality price. I would have to deal, however, with all the other competing smartphones, some of which have already been on the market several months ago. Among these, therefore, we certainly find also Xiaomi Mi 10 (see the full review here), which in fact does not have hardware that is so different from that proposed by POCOPHONE. So what are the differences between the two models?
POCO F2 Pro vs Xiaomi Mi 10: what are the differences?
Construction & Unlocking
- POCO F2 Pro: 163.3 x 75.4 x 8.9 mm - 218 g
- Xiaomi Mi 10: 162,6 x 74,8 x 8,96 mm - 208 g
When we look at Xiaomi Mi 10, especially on the back, we don't find any particularities. In this respect, in fact, the smartphone is quite similar to many other products recently released on the market. However, the situation is different POCO F2 Pro, which shows a certainly more original circular module. This, moreover, protrudes very little compared to the profile of the body, avoiding the creation of that annoying step that of My 10 makes it almost impossible to use it when it is placed on a surface.
Taking a look at the dimensionshowever, we don't find any big differences. These two products are similar, making them impossible to manage with one hand. I would like to point out, however, that regarding the release systems we find the same methods. On the one hand, therefore, we have a fingerprint reader that up POCO F2 Pro is only slightly faster than the one mounted under the display of the Mi 10. This is a difference sometimes almost imperceptible, but there is. Where the situation is completely reversed, however, is about unlocking through facial recognitionobviously slower on F2 Pro because of the pop-up room.
With the colors POCO offers more solutions than those put in place by Xiaomi, than for their own My 10 provides only the versions Coral Green e Twilight Gray. In this respect, however, the satin surface of the POCO F2 Pro is perhaps more particular than the mirrored one proposed by Xiaomi.
- POCO F2 Pro: Super AMOLED 6.67 ″ Full HD + (2.400 x 1.080 pixels) - 395 PPI - 20: 9 - Gorilla Glass 5
- Xiaomi Mi 10: AMOLED 6.67 ″ Full HD + (2.340 x 1.080 pixels) - 20: 9 - Gorilla Glass 5 - 90 Hz
Xiaomi Mi 10 has adopted a different philosophy than that of POCO F2 Pro. While on the latter model, in fact, the entire front surface is free from any type of forum o notch, on Mi 10 there is a hole on the left side, which integrates the selfie camera. This does not in any way affect the use of all the screen contents in daily use but, obviously, this solution may not appeal to many users. Another controversial point, then, is the presence of a curved display with refresh rate a 90Hz on Mi 10, which therefore turns out to be much more fluid and reactive than F2 Pro.
From the chromatic point of view we find a good balance on both products, with colors saturated and rich in contrast. In case they don't convince you, however, you will be able to change the colors of the panel at any time, within the settings.
Hardware & Software
- POCO F2 Pro: Snapdragon 865 - 7 nm - Adreno 650 - 6/8 GB RAM LPDDR4X / LPDDR5 - 128/256 GB UFS 3.0 / 3.1
- Xiaomi Mi 10: Snapdragon 865 - 7 nm - Adreno 650 - 8 GB RAM LPDDR5 - 128/256 GB UFS 3.0
We are in front of two real top of the range, therefore it is good to think that both are equipped with the best possible components. Taking a look at the chipset, in fact, we find the same solution on both models, although some things change regarding the memories used. Xiaomi Mi 10therefore only proposes 8GB di RAM LPDDR5, with an internal memory of maximum 256GB, of type UFS 3.0. With POCO F2 Pro, however, we can aspire to also have USF 3.1 type memories, always choosing the 256GB variant. We will see only later what the prices of these two smartphones are, but there is no doubt that from the Mi 10 we would have expected something more.
We leave you below the benchmarks of POCO F2 Pro:
Here, however, you will be able to take a look at the benchmarks of Xiaomi Mi 10:
At the level software we find different solutions, but not too many. On both smartphones, in fact, we have Xiaomi's MIUI, only on the POCO F2 Pror this has been slightly personalized since POCO 2.0 Launcher. Both interfaces, however, are based on Android 10, including of course the MIUI 11 present on My 10. Looking better at the settings we find practically no difference, they are two identical systems. Only something changes in the home, in the imagination of the icons and in the drawer of the applications, which on F2 Pro is well structured.
In the gallery below we leave you with a rundown of the MIUI 11:
Below, however, you will find several images of MIUI customized for POCO:
- POCO F2 Pro
- Rear: 64 + 5 + 13 + 2 MP - f/1.89-2.4-2.2-2.4 - 1 / 1.72 ″ - 0.8 -? - 1.12-1.75 µm - PDAF autofocus - 123 ° wide angle - telephoto / macro 50 mm - ToF
- Front: 20 MP - 0.8 µm
- Xiaomi Mi 10
- Rear: 108 + 13 + 2 + 2 MP - f/1.69-2.4-2.4-2.4 - 1 / 1.33 ″ - 1.6 µm - OIS - 123 ° wide angle - macro lens - ToF
- Front: 20 MP
We find some discrepancies between these two smartphones on a photographic level. Xiaomi Mi 10, in fact, has focused on a 108 MP main sensor even brighter than the 64 MP one of POCO F2 Pro. The wide angle value does not change, however, which has an identical field width on the two devices. Unlike the telephoto lens, however, Mi 10 opts for a sensor completely dedicated to macros, which therefore should return better performance from this point of view.
Below you will find a rundown of various comparisons between the photos taken with POCO F2 Pro e Xiaomi Mi 10:
Connectivity & Audio
- POCO F2 Pro: dual SIM 4G + / 5G - Wi-Fi 6 Dual Band - Bluetooth 5.1 - NFC - Dual Frequency GPS / A-GPS / GLONASS / Galileo / BeiDou - USB Type-C - mini-jack - IR sensor
- Xiaomi Mi 10: dual SIM 4G + / 5G - Wi-Fi 6 Dual Band - Bluetooth 5.1 - NFC - Dual Frequency GPS / A-GPS / GLONASS / Galileo / BeiDou / NaviC - USB Type-C - IR sensor
Given the presence of the Qualcomm SoC, both are equipped with Snapdragon X55 modem with relative connection to the 5G, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 support. Also from other points of view these two products do not differ much, since only the Mi 10 is missing audio jack from 3,5 mm. What is missing on POCO F2 Pro, however, is stereo audio, a lack that in fact plays in favor of Xiaomi Mi 10.
- POCO F2 Pro: 4.700 mAh - 33W charging
- Xiaomi Mi 10: 4.780 mAh - standard charging 30W - wireless charging 30W
Taking a look at the battery capacity, we find basically two identical units. System optimization is slightly better on POCO F2 Pro, because it is generally always easy to approach the 7 hours of screen on during a classic work day. With Mi 10 it is more difficult to achieve this result, but it does not differ much anyway. It should be considered, however, that here the 30W fast charge is present both via standard power supply and via wireless charger. The latter feature, not present on POCO F2 Pro, it could really make a difference for some users.

Among the most equipped variant of POCO F2 Pro and that base of Xiaomi Mi 10 there are well 200 € difference. They are both available in Italy and those we have reported to you are obviously the list prices on the official websites. Although POCO F2 Pro costs less, does not present too many waivers compared to My 10. The latter, in fact, perhaps costs slightly too much for what it actually offers, especially given the work of the competition in this area.
If we analyze the street price, however, POCO F2 Pro it is available for purchase 459€ from Italy with its coupon while i Xiaomi Mi 10 is located on 650€.
