Thanks to one of the XDA developers, it is possible to continue using the previous gestures. In reality, despite the arrival of those of Android 10, these are still present in the firmware and are functional: they have simply been hidden! However the dedicated option is not visible at the system level. So how to do it restore gestures to full screen on OnePlus 5 and 5T after updating to Android 10?

The first step is to download the app SetEdit, available for free in the Play Store via the button at the bottom of the article. You won't need to have root permissions active, so don't worry. Here are the various steps:

  • install SetEdit and open the app;
  • choose System Tab;
  • look for the voice op_gesture_button_side_enabled;
  • set the value 0.

On the contrary, to return to the gestures of Android 10 just follow the same procedure by setting the value 1. As for the functioning of the gesture by OnePlus, just swipe up from the bottom left / right of the screen to go back; the Home can be reached with a swipe from the bottom to the top (in the center of the panel) while for the Recent Apps you will have to carry out a prolonged swipe upwards (always in the center).
