We continue with the roundup of comparisons concerning POCO F2 Pro (see the review here) and other important smartphones that, in terms of value for money, still have something to say. Today, in particular, we will analyze the differences between this device and Realme X2 Pro (see the review here). The latter, in fact, came out on the market already divesrso long ago, acquiring a respectable technical sector, albeit at a rather low price. Which of the two will prevail? Realme X2 Pro, despite the Snapdragon 855+ SoC with which it is equipped, will be able to keep up with POCO F2 Pro? Let's see it better inside this comparison.

POCO F2 Pro vs Realme X2 Pro: what are the differences?
Construction & Unlocking
- POCO F2 Pro: 163.3 x 75.4 x 8.9 mm - 218 g
- Realme X2 Pro: 161 x 75,7 x 8,7 mm - 199 g
Despite all the similarities that we can find in many top of the range currently on the market, these two smartphones are quite different from each other. From an aesthetic point of view, in fact, POCO F2 Pro shows a photo gallery slightly more particular rear, which certainly differs more from the one shown on Realme X2 Pro. The two different surfaces of the rear body also tell different stories, although both are still very accurate. If I had to choose between the two, therefore, I would run on F2 Pro, which shows a definitely more original look.
These two devices, as we also see from the data shown above, do not differ much in terms of size. Realme X2 Pro weighs slightly less and this, therefore, could have some relevance in everyday use. I believe, however, that in the end it is also a matter of habit, even if the approx 220 grams di POCO F2 Pro they are absolutely not few. We are certainly not faced with two smartphones that can be used safely with one hand. We are not, then, to tell you all the various features, which you can find in the individual complete reviews. I just want to remind you how on both models there is, among other things, the audio jack by 3,5 mm.
Taking a look at release systems, on these two smartphones we find the same methods: fingerprint sensor under the display and face unlock. I would have expected a higher speed on POCO F2 Pro, always with reference to biometric sensor, but this is actually only slightly faster than the one mounted on Realme X2 Pro. The latter, in fact, does not show significantly lower performance from this point of view. A different story is worth, then, with the face unlock. They both exploit a facial recognition in 2D, using the front camera, which is obviously faster on Realme X2 Pro. I remind you, however, that as regards security it is not advisable to use this type of release.
From the point of view of the colors, we find a wider choice in the case of POCO. Realme X2 Pro seems that at the moment, however, it is available in the Lunar White color only, at least here in Italy.
- POCO F2 Pro: Super AMOLED 6.67 ″ Full HD + (2400 x 1080 pixels) - 395 PPI - 20: 9 - Gorilla Glass 5
- Realme X2 Pro: Super AMOLED 6,5" Full HD + (2400 x 1080 pixels) - 402 PPI - Gorilla Glass 5
Taking a look at the design of the front, we find some substantial differences. With POCO F2 Pro we will be able to enjoy a completely notch-free screen, with very reduced frames. On Realme X2 Pro, however, the it is characterized by the presence of a drop-shaped notch and slightly more pronounced edges, which however do not affect its daily experience. Definitely the product built by POCO offers a better glance.
It should be considered that, even in this case, F2 Pro must collide with a smartphone that has a higher refresh rate. We come up to 90Hz su Realme X2 Pro, which therefore can count on greater immediacy in movements and in the interface. It doesn't change much, however, on the colors returned by these two panels. Both return bright colors, with excellent contrast, which however can be changed within the display settings.
Hardware & Software
- POCO F2 Pro: Snapdragon 865 - 7 nm - Adreno 650 - 6/8 GB RAM LPDDR4X / LPDDR5 - 128/256 GB UFS 3.0 / 3.1
- Realme X2 Pro: Snapdragon 855+ - 7 nm - Adreno 640 - 6/8/12 GB RAM LPDDR4X - 64/128/256 GB UFS 2.1 / 3.0
We cannot deny that there are substantial differences between these two systems. If we take a look at the release periods of these two smartphones on the market, we notice how Realme X2 Pro came out long before POCO F2 Pro. On this latter product, therefore, we find a better hardware in every respect, starting right from the SoC. There is no comparison, then, also in terms of memories, as on X2 Pro we start from 64GB (UFS 2.1) while on POCO F2 Pro we start from 128GB (UFS 3.0), with all that follows in terms of performance.
We leave you below the benchmarks of POCO F2 Pro:
Here, however, you will be able to take a look at the benchmarks of Realme X2 Pro:
Inside both smartphones, however, we find a cooling system inserted in the body to keep temperatures at bay. No special fans or systems, but only a steam chamber and a copper heatpipe.
Going deeper into the software, we find two completely different solutions. On the one hand, in fact, we find the MIUI with POCO 2.0 Launcher, while on the other we have the Real UI. They are two philosophies as different as they are similar, because the level of customization is really very wide on both software and, among other things, there are plenty of additional options typical of Android 10. So there is no shortage of the Dark Theme, the app drawer and so on. I therefore believe that preference for one or the other system is simply a personal taste. Many, however, could be attracted to Xiaomi's solution, especially on the updates side. Over the years, in fact, the brand has always followed a lot of the older models too, proving that it does not want to abandon its users so easily. In this respect, Realme still has a lot to prove.
In the gallery below we leave you with a rundown of the Real UI:
Below, however, you will find several images of MIUI customized for POCO:
- POCO F2 Pro
- Rear: 64 + 5 + 13 + 2 MP - f/1.89-2.4-2.2-2.4 - 1 / 1.72 ″ - 0.8 -? - 1.12-1.75 µm - PDAF autofocus - 123 ° wide angle - telephoto / macro 50 mm - ToF
- Front: 20 MP - 0.8 µm
- Realme X2 Pro
- Rear: 64 + 8 + 13 + 2 MP - f/1.8-2.2-2.5-2.4 - 1 / 1.72 ″ - PDAF autofocus - 115 ° wide angle - telephoto lens - ToF
- Front: 16 MP
Let's say that in this respect the two smartphones do not differ too much, for several reasons. Some information on Realme X2 Pro, unfortunately, is unknown to us, but already from what we own it is clear how this device defends itself quite well, at least on paper. Despite this, the wide angle has a smaller field of view than POCO F2 Pro and the selfie camera has a slightly lower sensor in terms of resolution.
Below you will find a comparison between Realme X50 Pro e Poco F2 Pro:
Connectivity & Audio
- POCO F2 Pro: dual SIM 4G + / 5G - Wi-Fi 6 Dual Band - Bluetooth 5.1 - NFC - Dual Frequency GPS / A-GPS / GLONASS / Galileo / BeiDou - USB Type-C - audio jack - IR sensor
- Realme X2 Pro: dual SIM 4G + - Wi-Fi Dual Band - Bluetooth 5.0 - NFC - Dual Frequency GPS / A-GPS / GLONASS / Galileo / BeiDou - USB Type-C - audio jack
Here the difference is substantial. With the Snapdragon 855+ SoC that is mounted on Realme X2 Pro it is not possible to travel in 5G, since the modem responsible for this network is missing. You will have no problem, however, on POCO F2 Pro that can count on the latest technology in this regard, thanks to the Snapdragon X55 integrated within the chipset. Other differences, then, concern the Bluetooth 5.0 di Realme X2 Pro, the lack of Wi-Fi 6 and the IR sensor, all features that could suggest the purchase of the POCO F2 Pro.
Despite everything, on the smartphone produced by Realme we have stereo audio, which uses a second speaker positioned under the ear capsule. This system is therefore compatible with technology Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, returning better quality.
- POCO F2 Pro: 4.700 mAh - 33W charging
- Realme X2 Pro: 4.000 mAh - 50W charging
We conclude the examination of the data sheet talking about battery, on paper for the benefit of POCO F2 Pro, equipped with a higher amperage. This guarantees excellent autonomy, which however remains slightly lower than that shown by POCO F2 Pro. Most likely the Realme UI, on this smartphone, is particularly optimized, so as to guarantee up to 8 hours of screen on an 18-hour basis of continuous use.
Thanks to Super VOOC Realme, this X2 Pro can go from 10 to 100% in just 30 minutes, taking advantage of all the 50W of the power supply supplied in the package.
Availability & Price
I leave below the list prices of these two products:
- POCO F2 Pro
- 6 / 128 GB: €499
- 8 / 256 GB: €599
- Realme X2 Pro
- 6 / 64 GB: €449,99
- 8 / 128 GB: €499.99
- 12 / 256 GB: €549.99
If we refer to these prices, we notice how the two smartphones are not too far apart. We must consider, however, that both have already suffered a lowering of these figures, much greater on Realme X2 Pro. Sometimes, in fact, it was possible to find this smartphone even for less than 400 euros. POCO F2 Pro, then, also reached 549,90 euros on the official website, so in the coming months it will certainly suffer a further drop.
