Huawei Watch GT 2 is official: that's all you need to know
Thanks to the implementation of the SoC in question, the autonomy improves above all, thanks to an even more optimized energy management. This is made possible by the architecture Cortex-M7, with consumption that stands on 10 uA / MHz, compared to the 30 uA / MHz standards. According to the company the Huawei Watch GT 2 from 46 mm is able to operate for more than 2 weeks with heart rate monitor and active notifications, with a weekly average of 30 calls via Bluetooth, 30 minutes of audio playback, 90 minutes of physical activity and analyzing sleep. For the one from 42 mminstead, it comes down to more than 1 week. Improves autonomy even in the phase of GPS tracking during sports activity, guaranteeing up to 30 hours with the 46 mm and 15 hours for the 42 mm.
Compared to its predecessor, with the Huawei Watch GT 2 the aesthetic part has also been refined, with a 3D all-in-one glass, whose concave finish is inspired by what is usually used for the processing of precious stones. On the 46 mm we have a display AMOLED da 1.39 " 454 x 454 pixel, while on the 42 mm there is a 1.2 " 390 x 390 pixel. Thanks to the advanced Bluetooth unit, the new smartwatch is able to communicate with the smartphone up to 150 meters away. There is also the possibility to save the phonebook contacts directly on the clock, with an internal memory that also allows you to store them up to 500 tracks.
As for sports, Huawei Watch GT 2 supports 15 different sports: outdoor / indoor running, outdoor / indoor walking, outdoor / indoor hiking, trail running, outdoor / indoor cycling, elliptical bike, outdoor / indoor swimming, triathlon and rowing. For each of these it is able to generate approximately 190 different data, with pre and post exercise analysis as a personal trainer.
The changes also concern the health sector, with the combination of a heart rate monitor and software algorithms. The GT 2 is able to monitor heart problems, warning the owner if there is an irregular heartbeat for more than 10 minutes (above the 100 bpm or below the 50 bpm). Everything is then collected and displayed in real time via the Huawei Sports and Huawei Health apps. The feature TruSleep 2.0 it also monitors the quality of sleep, collecting data on night-time cardiac activity and breathing, providing advice if necessary. Finally, technology TruRelax is designed to relieve stress by recording the HRV, or the variability of the heart rate, helping the user to be more relaxed.
